Carl Nicks available...

Who wouldn't want Nicks?? But at 10-11 million a year I don't think he is good enough for us to spend that kind of money. With Newton's mobility and our scheme, money spent on guard doesn't seem a high priority.

Oh yes he is. I remember a lot of Cam's bad passes coming from getting the guards pushed back into him.

Really, we can cut and restructure players to get what we want. RG is a big hole with Hangman a FA and Schwartz not tagged. It's important to protect our franchise QB. And like CPF said, a lot of Cam's bad throws were due to being hit by his own guards. I believe it's possible and if we get Nicks along with 1 FA defensive player (ala 2005) and then focus the entire draft solely on defense, we would be top contenders.

    • Is this the wrong place to ask?  Help me please!!   I'm taking my 12 year old to his first game.  We would like to get there early.  Are there any kid friendly tailgating areas?   Thanks in advance
    • Honestly Bryce is a conundrum right now I'm not really sure what we should do with him but I am content on him being the quarterback number one going into next season. I think we should allow him the chance to play out the season to prove that he's the quarterback he can be going into next season.  I would not waste a high draft pick on a quarterback because I'm not sure anyone in this up and coming class is as good or has the ceiling that he had with that said I wouldn't throw away the future I would bring in someone like Justin Fields to have him looking over his shoulder and give us a plan b if everything doesn't go right on a one-year deal. I think the priority right now if tepper wants to make a big splash is find a way to get Travis Hunter that would be option 1AA because he helps with both sides of the field either way whatever you need defense or offense. Make that happen and then go mostly defense the rest of the way and we're cooking.
