my first Mock Draft with possibly "trades"

This is my first mock draft so please be kind lol, but let me know what yall think. I absolutely loves Brockers and Poe, but I don't believe that they're worth taking yet at 9th. So I see us finding a partner to trade back with. I can see us trading back with Cincinnati since they have two first round picks, where they'll move up to take Trent Richardson (i believe hell fall out of top 10) at our 9th and we'll then move down to their 17th spot and also grabbing their second round pick at 53rd. Our biggest needs are: DT, CB, LB, OL. This is how my mock goes:

1st Round (17th) trade w/ Cincinnati:

Janoris Jenkins CB North Alabama Sr. 5'10" 193lbs

2nd Round (40th):

Fletcher Cox DT Mississippi State Jr. 6'4" 298lbs

2nd Round (53rd) trade from Cincinnati:

Brandon Washington OG Miami (Fla.) Jr. 6'3" 320lbs

4th Round (104th):

Emmanuel Acho OLB Texas Sr. 6'1" 238lbs

5th Round (135th):

James Hanna TE Oklahoma Sr. 6'4" 252lbs

6th Round (169th):

Drew Butler P Georgia rSr. 6'2" 205lbs

7th Round (199th):

Jordan Jefferson QB LSU Sr. 6'4" 222lbs

My reasons, simple and short:

-Janoris Jenkins has first round talents written all over him but also issues all over him. Though hell be a huge upgrade on D and talented enough to cover one on one with Julio Jones, Colston, Moore etc. Cowboys could take him at 14th but I see them taking either Mark Barron or Kirkpatrick esp. having Dez (problem) already. They doesn't want to take a chance with Jenkins.

-I believe Fletcher Cox could possibly fall into our hands at the 40th pick. Would be awesome if we could grab him there instead of taking either Brockers or Poe at 9th.

-Brandon Washington would solidify our OL. Maybe releasing Wharton or Hangartner for cap reason.

-Acho may be another player who could fall into the 4th. Depth at OLB for Davis.

-James Hannon helped himself at the combine and if Jeremy Shockey doesn't come back.

-We need a punter maybe even a kicker. Butler would be great and we could cut Baker.

-Jordan Jefferson, many of you guys would be like wtf with this pick, but he would be a decent backup in the future to Cam. Also a moblize qb, would also help in releasing Clausen or Anderson for cap space.

I like it. However I do not see Cox falling to the 2nd round after a great combine performance...although it could very well happen.

yes its hard to think he'll fall but esp with the rise of Poe, Cox could very well fall. I think Brockers is a lock in the first so Poe could also be. Cox is a 50/50

I definitely like this mock. Nice talent. I like that u added a tight end for chud to work with and develop. Also I think Jenkins is one of those players that when we look back 5 years from now we will say we should have took that guy. So I'm hoping we take him. Has all the talent in the world. It's if he can straighten up. But in the end when u start making big bucks and become apart of something bigger than yourself and he realizes

This he will work hard to become a better player and a better man. Call me crazy I can see him coming to charlotte and give back to the community to show that he cares and a good guy. But I'm no dr Phil. Hoping for the best for him either way

yup jenkins has all the skills in the world. just need him to be with a good mature team. i believes the panthers could help this guy out. its not always the "ravens" ray lewis could help these kids out only.

i think a lot of people would love to play with Cam. i think cam can help jenkins out a bunch with his maturity.

I see it. but Jenkins scares me. Give him $$$$ and what will he do with it?

Cox might be the best DT in the draft when all is said and done--bar none. I think he never gets past NE (5Tech). If he his there, heck yueaaahh.

The rest looks good.

I'm not a big Fan of getting another OL guy so early when we have 5 guys in competition

already.

Cox won't be there in the 2nd round and drafting a punter isn't my cup of tea either.

Brandon Washington is a really good OL. He reminds me of the Florida state guy that broncos took last year . Not saying they're the same but meaning that he could be a sleeper like him. And by taking Washington in the second is not early at all esp. When you have a franchise qb in Cam that needs all the help on the line to help protect him. By taking washington we cud release Wharton to create cap space.

And for cox, he cud be there in the second you never knoe. Marvin Austin feel in the second last year. Many teams in the first have other needs too other than dt. Just bc we need help at dt doesn't mean everyone does. The closest team to taking cox is Denver who I see them taking Poe and the Patriots who have major needs at various position especially on lb and OL where several of their guys may leave .

I dnt see no reason to not take a punter when punter n kicker is also a need. Taking a punter in the 6th doesn't hurt. If he pan out we cud release baker for cap space. If he dnt , it's no diff then taking another position whos not going to do anything for us, at best practice squad guy only.

1. We can release Wharton now and still have 5-6 guys in competition for his spot and the RG spot. Most of the guards in the top 10 this season and last were either drafted after 4th round or undrafted. This whole thing about Protecting Cam with high pick Offensive guards is wierd when you consider that Brees has 2 guards Nicks (4th) and Evans (6th) who were later round picks. But are the best in the league.

Point is most teams have figure out you can get good to great guards in Later rounds and not spend high pick money on them. You could get a better OLB or a DE in that spot and pick a OG later.

2. Marvin Austin had Baggage plus missed a whole season of football. Cox and Austin are not in the same situation. Not to mention many teams will try to copy the NYG success and get Dlinmen to counter this new passing league.

Cox will be a 1st rounder.

3. You can also get a very solid punter after the draft. Most of the punters in this draft will go undrafted.

Yes 5-6 guys who cud compete bc they're all average players only. And then once they're not living to the expectation you think, you decide to bash on them. Guessing you could be one of those Bryan bell hater . I love bell though. And it's not that easy to take a nicks or Evans late in the draft. How many of those guys come every year? Saints were just lucky n with some good coaching and a qb in brees that didn't need them to block for but 3 sec.

Every year someone will fall n rise in the draft. I cud only see the most two dts goin in the first and that is poe n brockers. That's why I got cox in the second.

You have ur own opinion . I'm not gonna say your wrong. Its just a mock where I took some time to look over and check the needs from the first 40 picks n saw that cox cud fall to us. If u want to see my first 40 picks I'll be happy to show you.

1.Chuck do me a favor look at just the Playoff teams Oline and find me all the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd round guards. Then compare them to all the 4th thru undrafted guards on those teams.

Then tell me if you would still use a 2nd round pick on a guard.

2. Cox will be the 2nd or 3rd best DT soon IMO. But even if he is 4th he still won't make it out the 1st round.

3. I do like the Jenkins pick and the trade.

I do not see how Jenkins doesn't scare the heck of people. He was kicked off the team at UF, suspended at NA, has several drug-related offenses, sired 4 bastard children, and you want to give him about $10 million guaranteed? I would consider him in the fourth, but if I am investing in a first round pick, I do not want the pick rolling joints with the Benjamins. Give me high character guys like Thomas Davis, Gross, Beason, and I can say this now, Cam. Don't pay some thug with a few skills to come here and spread his crap all over Charlotte. I would much rather have Kuechly, Ingram, or Jonathan Martin. I would rather draft a class act like Chase Minnefield in the second round. I know he has talent, but he is fool's gold. Put a few thousand dollars in his hand and see what he does with it. Poooof. I am done.
