Found out last week that we're going next February. Me, wife, 2 kids (girls, 5 and 3) and about 15 other people. Evidentially, while all the crazy poo happens on Bourbon st, there are other "family friendly" areas of N.O. Not real familiar with any of it, although I heard you get to wear goofy masks and drink all week. Anyone here been before? Stories pls.

Oh and some couple at a halloween party was telling me I had to get a gree gree bag... WTF?

Most of the parades in New Orleans during the daytime are family friendly. Stay clear of Bourbon St. Obviously it's not family friendly and it gets too packed to navigate without getting crushed and stomped and the entire area smells like vomit and piss.

Metairie, which is a suburb of New Orleans has a lot of family oriented activities. The main attraction is "Family-Gras" celebration with parade, food, and concerts. It's a pretty good time. I saw Zac Brown Band there a couple of years ago.

      At this rate, maybe he'll be a decent 8-9 QB on his 3rd HC by year 6. Standards are so low around here now. Tepper has done some serious damage to the fan base.
