Good article, it's good to see MJ owning up, he's also improved, he's not perfect, but he's been wheeling and dealing with great success this year.

i think having mj and larry together is great, jordan does what larry wants, and so far its working. IMO

Yep, for example, Dwight Howard and Kwame Brown were similar prospects coming out of high school. Both were big men with the skills to eventually be great, and both were projected to be picked within the first couple of picks based mostly on potential. But each also carried a lot of risk because nobody knew how they would handle the rigors of the NBA, and there were questions about the maturity level of each. Unfortunately for Jordan, Brown wasn't emotionally ready to deal with life in the NBA, nor was he willing to put in the effort necessary to reach his potential, whereas Howard was just the opposite.

But based on what was known prior to their respective drafts, there was no way to know who would do what. So, in a sense, Jordan was unlucky that Brown did not have the proper mental toughness and work ethic, while the Magic were lucky that Howard had the right makeup to push himself. You never know what you get until you get him on the court.

I'll have to admit, I didn't like him making decisions, but MJ has done a much better job of late. Although I think a lot of that has to do with Brown. The job is getting done though, which is all that matters to me.
