Any word from Clausen yet?

Might already be a thread about this, but has Clausen spoken about being a Panther yet? I've seen all sorts of coverage on us drafting him but nothing FROM him. Just curious to his feelings falling so far in the draft and getting drafted by the Panthers.

Sweet, thanks! Yea, I listened to some of the interview. He is good at the "politically correct" speak for sure. Definitely a John Fox kinda guy in that respect. I think he's happy he got drafted by a team that isn't a persistent basement dweller with two great running backs and Steve Smith. What QB wouldn't be happy about that?

I think he had a big potential to be a bust, especially since he didn't win all that many games in college compared to McCoy and The Golden Calf of Bristol. But he is on a team that can work with him, and has good talent around him to help him win right away. I think it should work out well. If not, it might light enough of a fire under Moore to play his ass off.

I think it should work out well (for Clausen). If not, it might light enough of a fire under Moore to play his ass off.

I don't see Moore as a guy who would loof just b/c there is noone behind him. I also don't see him screwing up b/c someone IS behind him either.

We are lucky to have 1 QB we can fairly surely count on (Moore) & 2 who have great potential.

Not that this is important but anyone know what number he will take. Baker already has number 7 and Im sure he would give it to clausen but you never know. For some reason I always like to see what numbers they get. Can you imagine steve smith in anything but 89? Or moose in 87? Beason in 52? I don't know why i get into it but it's just interesting. Usually they unveil the jersey's by now.

Baker likely is giving that number up, but it's up to him. I think Clausen can buy it off him too.
