ENGLAND soccer captain John Terry reportedly made his teammate's former girlfriend pregnant - then paid for her to have an abortion.

The married man's future as the skipper of the national football team has been called into question five months out from the World Cup following reports of his infidelity - with the ex-partner of England and Chelsea teammate Wayne Bridge, the News of the World reported.

Terry reportedly had a four-month affair with French swimwear model, Vanessa Perroncel, which began in September - after she broke up with Bridge.

Looks like we now have a fairly easy road through the group stages. Also reports are that Aaron Lennon is out.

Very well may be the biggest sports story outside of the US. Most Americans could care less about soccer though.
