  1. It was directed at Tampa too - and he was right. If I were one of the WC teams there's no way I'd wouldn't want to play a mediocre team in the NFC South in likely nice weather conditions instead of the defending Super Bowl champions who are playing better now in the cold.
  2. They did say that a couple of times although the context was naming both us and Tampa as the potential 4 seed, and that the 6 seed was likely going on the road to face the defending champs in Philly. They brought it up as a way of saying that the Rams should have strong incentive to win last nights game despite having already clinched a spot. I don’t see that as disrespect, it’s a fact.
  3. I am not arguing that Shough has not shown more promise than Bryce has - I’m just saying that I don’t see enough evidence yet to think he’s “the one that got away” (like a CJ Stroud or a Jayden Daniels/Drake Maye). Those are two entirely separate conversations.
  4. Oh Shough has earned the starting role to pencil him in as next year's starter, they are going to have plenty of other holes they will have to fill first. But again, small sample size, against meidocre to bad teams with little pressure to perform - let's see what happens when more people have film on him. I'm not saying he's a guaranteed bust but I also think most of the board who is already labeling him a franchise QB that we missed on are overreacting to the two games they watched against our inconsistent team.
  5. Why do you let FNZ rile you up so much? Their goal is to engage and have some level of access to the Panthers which is why they largely are a mouthpiece for the organization rather than an influencer.
  6. Tyler Shough's wins are against us (a very up and down team), Tampa who is crumbling, and the Jets and Titans. He's played well but there's the very real possibility that when the lights are bright he turns into a Matt Moore, Kyle Allen, or Desmond Ridder. I could at least see the logic in thinking NO is on the upswing, but it's not like the Falcons just all of a sudden are a contender because of the QB switch to Cousins. He's still the same guy who is up and down - and there's no telling whether he'll actually be there next year with his age/salary combo. My post had nothing to do with Bryce, this has been a popular refrain way back to the Fox/Rivera years when we pick up a few late season wins and it was always thought of around here as we only win when it doesn't matter and only there to screw up draft position.
  7. I thought wins after you’re eliminated don’t mean anything since there’s no pressure and nothing is on the line? Or is that just for our team?
  8. Steichen interviewed with us, he didn’t turn it down. Reports were that tepper wasn’t impressed with his zoom interview and ended up going with Reich and Steichen went to Indy. Colossal fail on our part.
  9. I think the first part is correct but we did squeak by the Jets so that’s a last place win.
  10. You literally put a poo emoji on his post congratulating us on beating the Bucs in the game thread. Clearly people not being assholes bothers you for some reason.
  11. He’s also 21 years old. I don’t know why fiz is so eager to label him a bust
  12. It’s wild to me that so many of you guys are threatened by the idea of an opposing team fan who is polite in 2025. He’s been posting here on and off for years, usually when our teams play each other which hasn’t been for a while. I’d maybe understand this treatment if it was a falcons or saints fan, but packers fans in general are one of the nicer fan bases as long as you aren’t another NFC north team (especially the bears).
  13. It’s hard to do basic math when the ketamine has kicked in
  14. I don’t feel bad for the saints for a single second for the 2018 game on one (admittedly) badly blown call, when they got gifted a free win in the NFCC against the Vikings the year they won the Super Bowl. The refs managed to let them simultaneously execute bounty gate and throw a flag anytime an incomplete pass would stop a drive they needed on offense. It was the NFLs version of Game 6 of the infamous kings-lakers series.
