Says the guy who just bet Alabama +7.5 -
The way I remember the whole S2 thing coming up was that Brock Purdy scored a really high score on it when he had that rookie season that came out of nowhere. His score was in the mid 90s. The guys who developed the test then started pushing the narrative that mahomes, Allen, and burrow all had really high scores when they took it too so there’s something to it. They said something like mid 80s and up was elite processing. Then it blew up in their face after Bryce scored a 98 and CJ Stroud scored an 18 and how differently their rookie years turned out. Now it looks even funnier because here were the other scores of guys from that class: Jake Haener 96 Will Levis 93 Jaren Hall 93 Clayton Tune 84 Anthony Richardson 79 Hendon Hooker 48 IIRC, agents started telling QBs not to take the test after CJs experience.

He’s clearly not playing like the first half of the season (or either of the last two for that matter). You can point to the drop off taking place since he busted his non throwing shoulder in the Rams game. I’m glad it’s benefitting us. Again, sorry praising another opposing player that’s not CJ Stroud gets you so bothered that you bring stuff from two months ago -
They did say that a couple of times although the context was naming both us and Tampa as the potential 4 seed, and that the 6 seed was likely going on the road to face the defending champs in Philly. They brought it up as a way of saying that the Rams should have strong incentive to win last nights game despite having already clinched a spot. I don’t see that as disrespect, it’s a fact.

Who is actually the best team in the NFC South?

I am not arguing that Shough has not shown more promise than Bryce has - I’m just saying that I don’t see enough evidence yet to think he’s “the one that got away” (like a CJ Stroud or a Jayden Daniels/Drake Maye). Those are two entirely separate conversations. -

Oh Shough has earned the starting role to pencil him in as next year's starter, they are going to have plenty of other holes they will have to fill first. But again, small sample size, against meidocre to bad teams with little pressure to perform - let's see what happens when more people have film on him. I'm not saying he's a guaranteed bust but I also think most of the board who is already labeling him a franchise QB that we missed on are overreacting to the two games they watched against our inconsistent team. -

Tyler Shough's wins are against us (a very up and down team), Tampa who is crumbling, and the Jets and Titans. He's played well but there's the very real possibility that when the lights are bright he turns into a Matt Moore, Kyle Allen, or Desmond Ridder. I could at least see the logic in thinking NO is on the upswing, but it's not like the Falcons just all of a sudden are a contender because of the QB switch to Cousins. He's still the same guy who is up and down - and there's no telling whether he'll actually be there next year with his age/salary combo. My post had nothing to do with Bryce, this has been a popular refrain way back to the Fox/Rivera years when we pick up a few late season wins and it was always thought of around here as we only win when it doesn't matter and only there to screw up draft position. -

I thought wins after you’re eliminated don’t mean anything since there’s no pressure and nothing is on the line? Or is that just for our team? -
Steichen interviewed with us, he didn’t turn it down. Reports were that tepper wasn’t impressed with his zoom interview and ended up going with Reich and Steichen went to Indy. Colossal fail on our part.

Are the Panthers a "Trap Game" for the Hawks?
X-Clown replied to MHS831's topic in Carolina Panthers
I think the first part is correct but we did squeak by the Jets so that’s a last place win. -
You literally put a poo emoji on his post congratulating us on beating the Bucs in the game thread. Clearly people not being assholes bothers you for some reason.

He’s also 21 years old. I don’t know why fiz is so eager to label him a bust
