  1. Maybe a bit of a homer take but I can't give us a grade lower than A. Freeling was arguably the best LT prospect in the draft. His athletic ability is off the chart and at 6'7" that can move. It was a no brainer pick. Hunter's key word is Violence. Putting him next to Brown should scare an offensive coordinator. These two give Scourton and Phillips plenty of chances to get one on one opportunities. Brazzell, another tall receiver with sprinter speed. Our WR room is filled with tall talented WR. Brazzell is going to give us a WR that can take to roof off the defense. Basically Jimmy Horn with size. W. Lee III has a nickname of the Blanket. (heard this on the Beleav podcast with J. Stewart) What a great name. A great value in the 5th round. Hecht A strong, fast and extremely smart center. Many had him listed as the best center in the draft. He's most likely a starter sooner than later. Wheatley A good safety in round 5. Someone who could see playing time. Kuwatch I love this pick. At minimum he will be a key piece on special teams and with some good coaching he'll see some packages where he'll play. His down piece is he doesn't stay up in the running game. Good coaching will fix this. He reminds me a bit of A.J. Klein. All these picks were great value. I believe everyone of them were graded higher than the pick we took them. Dan Morgan is IMO doing a great job turning this team into a good team with great depth.
  2. Yes, I believe it was a bus and I believe his name was Mark. Great Guy and a huge Panther Fan.
  3. Great Video, typical from BluePrint. I loved that when he got the call he was almost in tears. I'm excited to see him on the field.
  4. Then I don't believe we are talking about the same guy unless someone reported his death and wasn't telling the truth.
  5. That may be him. He was a great guy. I worked overseas so I really didn't know anyone but he and his family treated me really well and I have an amazing day. Didn't hurt the Smitty destroyed Fred Smoot who was running his mouth about shutting him down. I met on other huddler at another game but it was just a short conversation and 15+ years ago.
  6. I remember going to the Carolina/Viking game in 2005. I met one of the Huddlers (forget his name) He had a pimped out Carolina Van that was awesome. I joined his tailgate. Sadly, he passed away a year or so later. It was probably the saddest news I ever heard about this place.
  7. So I saw an evaluation on him and they said he was great as Pass-Pro but his run blocking wasn't so hot. IMO learning to run block is much better than having to learn Pass-Pro. Don't know if the evaluation was accurate but saw it. thoughts
  8. Yep that is one i saw didn't notice the join date.
  9. That's Odd I saw a new member just the other day. Not sure if it was a spam account but seemed legit.
  10. I was a member of that. I think I had a number (33) It was nice, sad to see it go.
  11. Honestly I am happy we didn't. I really think Evans is going to make big jump this year. He showed he's got some hands and is a pretty good blocker. Plus, I think our TE have to be great blockers.
  12. Those that I have seen may have one or two active topics and only one or two post that day. It's amazing how we can have 10 or more post active any time of the year.
  13. I've waited to post this for a while now. I didn't want to interfere with the Draft. Since we have a couple of weeks until OTAs I thought I would post this. I have been a member of this forum for a long time, early 2005 I think. I originally was Davethepanther before they rebooted this forum and I had to add the year 2008. What I love about this forum is that no matter what time of year it is, we have content to discuss. I don't know how many of you have visited other NFL team forums but IMO none of them come close to the Huddle. I have been to some other teams forums, NOT ALL, but enough to see that we have more active topics that most forums. We have lost so many great posters but have also added many. Conversations have changed a bit and less conversation and more I'm right and you're wrong. However, in the end we still are better than most forums I have visited and honestly it isn't close. Just remember that none of us are experts. Some think so but in the end we are all just fans. At times things get heated but when you make your post remember it is just an opinion, you're not right nor are you wrong. It's just an opinion. That said, I am making this post to remind you that you are a part of one of the best sports forums on the Net. We all should be grateful that we have a place that we can come to anytime of the year and talk Carolina Panther football.
  14. Same here. It's frustrating to see veterans that are on the downslope get more reps than the young guys. IMO he should have given Ransom more PT. He seems to be a playmaker and I just didn't see much of him last year. The only way you are going to improve is to get PT. His lack of faith in a rookie is irritating.
