  1. Great that we get the help back but we need to stick with who got us here. No need it "inserting" former starters. I do hope that we run with two great backs. Work both horses and run the crap out of everyone.
  2. i'm with you. I think he'll start paying off soon. He wasn't worth the 32nd pick but I think he still might give us some help. That TD against Miami was special. That was a well-placed ball and XL had an amazing catch. I think he's improved since last year. I just hope he starts to put more on the stat sheet.
  3. We ran at will against two of the worst defenses in the league. Miami and Dallas. The Jets defense is much better than both of those two teams. S. Wilks will have his defense ready for our run game. That said we still have to run the ball. What gives me confidence that we will continue to run the ball well is that ALL the players on the field are blocking. T-Mac and Evans were both cited for their outstanding blocking in the run game. I think if we get over 100 yds rushing we win this game handily. However, if we don't run effectively than the last two games were just a fluke and we'll be down at the bottom of the list in power rankings. What are your thoughts? Fluke or Future
  4. I've been a member of this board for over 20 years. The difference between now and back then is night and day. This was one of the only forums I knew that you could go a post and read post daily. It didn't matter whether it was in season and or off-season. The posts nowadays are mostly the same topic over and over just spewing hatred of our coach, GM, QB and owner. Not much good conversation.
  5. I am far from being bent out of shape. You guys want to put Young in a different box. The criteria is set for a GWD. It's not my problem that you don't like the criteria. Get a life and stop attacking people you don't agree with.
  6. the NFL loves their stats. Have you seen baseball yet? Their stats are through the roof.
  7. And that what makes the Huddle the Huddle. Every thing is debated here from uniforms to GWDs.
  8. Honestly, I think they should refine that definition. It shouldn't be a GWD in the beginning of the 4th Qtr. The definition should be winning the game on the teams last possession.
  9. But since they won't. Young gets the credit just like every other QB in the league.
  10. Then just abolish the entire stat. Every other QB in this league that gets one is heralded a star yet when Bryce does it, it's luck or it's not because of him. The bottom line he's the QB of record. He normally gets all the blame when we lose even if you defense couldn't stop a 3 yr old. He should get the credit when as the player that touches every single snap (unless there is a trick play). He follows the game plan and executes the plays that are given to him by our OC. Everyone wants to make it as if he calls the plays. HE DOESN'T but he does execute what was called. He the QB of record, he gets the credit when we score on a GWD.
  11. It's a team effort. The team stayed close enough to be in a position to have a GWD. If you are behind in a game, then there is most likely a couple of turnovers that put you in that position. If you team wins the game with a GWD it should be counted as a GWD. PERIOD
  12. If you nitpick these stats for Bryce Young than you should also do it for every other QB in the league. i am 100% sure that all QBs that have GWD under their belt have similar drives that are listed as questionable by the OP. Bottom Line most QBs don't call these plays they only execute them. If they succeed to get their team in position to score a TD or FG, it's a GWD no matter how ugly it may be.
  13. Splash plays are important, but ball control is much more important. The longer we hold onto the ball the more we don't have to play catch-up.
  14. I hope so too but there must have been some riff which kept him out of the line-up. This is why I think he is going to test the market. Hopefully DM signs him before we get to that point.
  15. What I don't get is why it took so long to put him in. He should have been the first player off the bench when Hunt got hurt. I have a bad feeling he's not going to be here next season.
