I believe I read before that Evero does not like starting younger players even if they are better than what is on the field.
I felt Evero deserved another shot due to the multitude of injuries we had last year. Now I wish we hadn't given him another shot. We added so much talent to this defense he should have no excuses. It is literally the same defense as last year. No difference and he should be sent packing now. Bring Don Capers down from the front office.
Signing Hooker was a good move.
1. He has all the tools
2. Very important Canales want to work with him. Good or bad at least we'll find out.
3. Plummer hasn't signed anywhere so if the experiment doesn't work out you can always resign Plummer.
It's a practice squad move, let's see what he can do.
If I remember correctly he had some insanely good games and then had some real poor ones. A very inconsistent QB. I believe he has all the tools maybe DC can put him in a position to be a solid backup. Dalton can't play forever.
I saw Hooker play several years ago and thought he would be a good QB. Not that I am looking for a QB to replace Young but maybe Canales can QB whisper him into being a good backup.
Coker made some plays that gives me hope that he can be that clutch receiver. It was a huge gamble if you ask me. You are depending on rookies and 2nd year players to step up. Moore's the only multi-year veteran and he's at the bottom of the pecking order.
I am a bit surprised that we have not made any moves to pick up anyone from other rosters. We are thin, at best, in a couple of positions, especially defense.
I cannot remember the last time we dropped to 53 that we didn't make any moves.
