Russell Wilson gets divorced

This confirms my notion that Wilson is a pretty smart guy. It makes a ton of sense to divorce your wife while you are still playing on a rookie contract. If he waited a couple years to try and make it "work" it would have cost him  millions. 

 

Also he should wait to get remarried until after he signs his next contract, and try to get that front loaded so he can make the majority of his money while he is still single. 

 

This way you can mitigate the damage done when wifey tries to get her money. 

 

If he was really that smart, he wouldn't have married someone he was only going to divorce in a few years.

Not jelly. ..cant believe I just said that...but im a Tech fan and can't ever really brag about our Qbs but wilson had the ability to stay at state and said nope. Its funny state fans claim him to be one kf their own but rewind back then and they all were blasting him for abandoning state etc. And if Glennon is a stater again in the next season due to performance not injury ill eat crow. The only true state qb in my eyes os rivers.

I wish I could pie this post an infinite amount of times. Given the age demographic of this board and how the average American male in that demographic is a lard ass you are most likely correct. She's not a bad looking woman at all; she's pretty.

I hear you on that man, but I would be surprised if Wilson even knew how good his NFL career was going to start. He went from a back up type guy, to a super star almost over night. 

 

He went from locked down to being freely able to slay all the tail he wants. The best part is the price tag on that decision is low, because of his timing.

For everyone thinking this is partly/all a 'business decision', alimony payments take into account likely future earnings. I can't comment on their relationship, but I hope they get it figured out in as civil a manner as possible.

While I agree, the (now) ex-wife isn't that attractive...she was slumming, as far as looks are concerned. 

Russell Wilson may be a young, starting QB in the NFL. May have lots of money and a lot more coming....but he is one ugly fuging dude. So, while he can do better because of his fame and money....if he were a normal dude, his now ex-wife would be a good step up for him.
