Captain takes jab at the Panthers and Dwill on twitter

He can think whatever he wants but he shouldn't be making fun of them publicly all offseason. People get cut/traded/not resigned all the time. It's a part of the business. If Delo has a problem with it he needs to take it up with Gettleman and/or Rivera. Not crack jokes on twitter.

U missed my point.

Maybe he doesn't have a problem with it, and is just trying to send the message of "you better come ready to produce"

I don't know, but who GAF at this point. Really why sit in here and bitch about it like a bunch of teens.

Oh wait ....... Lol.

Well, that's a pretty optimistic way to look at it. There's no way of knowing you're wrong but I'd be surprised if that's his mindset.

And I'm not a "teen" lol but I'm glad you think you have such wisdom because you're older than others on here.

See that's the tunnel vision everyone wants to have, I am not talking about only Smith, all the receivers had a role.  No Lafell didn't catch every ball, but he could block and there were sometimes he was open but was overthrown as well as Ginn.  The numbers weren't stellar but they were key parts.  Am I saying the additions won't pan out no, but to let the entire receiving core go is a gamble.

I think the added pieces have nearly replaced Ginn and Lafell, and even Smith is aging he can still get open.  Top corners still said last year Smith was one of the most difficult receivers to contain.  So no matter what people say here he is still a force.  Just because he is on another it's ok to respect someones talent.  Haters gone hate but I understand you and the others here are just prepping yourselves for seasons to come without him and that's cool.  I see your pain.

What gamble? We didn't resign 2 mediocre WRs? We released an aging WR that was a lockerroom distraction?

Gotta say, my opinion of DWill has definitely sunk this offseason. While players like Cam and Luke step up and back the front office/coaches and believe we will be just fine, he's gone out of his way over and over to take jabs on the receivers we have. For a below average/over paid running back, who's stats are padded but a couple big runs, and who's fumble cost us a game, he should probably shut up.

Cam and Luke are young impressionable players that have to tow the company line, Dwill is a well paid veteran at the backend of his career. He has nothing to lose by speaking up.

I wish we could cut DWill right now.

Not often you see a player blatantly undermine his organization and the confidence of his teammates.

Trashy comment

Once it becomes economically feasible to cut DWill and Gettleman does it seemingly automatically, he'll end up playing for the Titans and then he'll really know what it's like to not have any receivers
