Cam Newton: “I have to take more ownership of this offense and I will."

Not always true.

You can be a leader and want to treat your guys the way you want them to be treated and handle situations the way you want them, but then someone else such as Smith can come in and mess all of that up by just yelling at another teammate and/or demanding the ball more and more. Which has been documented and seen on TV with our own eyes.

It's not an issue of Cam convincing Smith. It was an issue of Smith disrupting the way Cam wants to run the team.

I strongly disagre, everyone is following and listening a real leader, even a Smitty.

Cam is a nice guy and a good QB, i have no doubt about that but he is not a leader, well not for the wolves.

There are some guys who will not submit to anyone, even when it is to their benefit to do so.

Is that Smith?  Don't know.  He followed Jake as a leader, but Smitty was a lot younger player when Jake came on board.  By the time Cam arrived, Smitty was a veteran leader himself, and a proud one.

Wanting a guy like that to submit to a player who's basically a kid in his eyes?  Tall order.
