3 FAs to fix the Hornets

We need to somehow make a trade for Harrison Barnes. Just get someone in here that can create their own shot and hit a jumper besides Kemba and Al

Harrison Barnes creating his own shot is a joke, Harrison is a solid 4th option, but the guy definitely doesn't create as much as he should. He is insanely inconsistent.

I definitely realize that, I was just thinking of one viable scorer that wouldn't take all that much to get.

And in comparison to MKG and Henderson on offense, he'd at least be able to hit a jumper. I can't remember the last time I saw MKG hit a jumper it seems.

Considering the NBA uses a salary cap, it really comes down to market size for a lot of these high profile guys. A lot of the bigger free agents just aren't dying to play in smaller markets like Charlotte, Salt Lake City, or Sacramento. Ever once in awhile a place like Oklahoma City lands a talent like Durant that loves the city or San Antonio with Duncan but those examples are few and far between.

Charlotte is in a tough position to land big time talent, just because the NBA chooses to sort of ignore them as a NBA franchise. Heck, I was watching an ad about the playoffs on the NBA on TNT and the ads showed highlights of every team in the playoffs (guys blocking a shot, shooting threes, dunking it hard) every team except Charlotte.

82 games played this season and not one game on national television. If your a star player trying to build your brand, in what way is that slightly appealing?

Honestly, I don't get the NBA's approach to marketing a handful of the same teams every year. It's been like this since I started to follow the NBA during the Jordan/Bulls runs. Even the NFL recognizes the power of markets like Charlotte and Green Bay. The NFL may not put Charlotte on the same level as Dallas or San Francisco in the eyes of NFL executives (don't get me wrong), they also don't ignore them completely either. I can't say the same about how the NBA treats smaller markets themselves.

That being said, I just don't see us landing a high profile free agent. I could see us drafting a kid who loves the city and wants to stick around, like Durant in Oklahoma City or Duncan in San Antonio. Otherwise, I just don't see it. Even if Jordan forks over the money to make Charlotte enticing to somebody like Carmelo Anthony, there is so much more Carmelo can do for himself in a market like Chicago or L.A.

How many points did Barnes avg. this season after all the pouting he did when put on the bench?

I just can't seem to buy into Lance Stephenson.

There are no FAs that really get me going this yr expect a nice backup PG in Shaun Livingston. IMO we need a SG more than anything and I don't see any that I really like this year. Oh and Melo/Kevin Love are pipe dreams I think.
