An idea. Maybe not a good one, but an idea. Terrelle Pryor?

Which is exactly my point.

Pryor wants a contract, the quarterbacks brought in are usually just spring arms(scrubs), and if a guy stands out then the Panthers might keep him for training camp. Webb will likely be cut after preseason and we'll sign someone to the practice squad.

Well that's the whole purpose for me starting the thread.  Pryor may want a contract, but he isn't necessarily going to get one.  I know I wouldn't stake my life on it.  That being said, we may want to give him a look as there are some similarities to Pryor's and Newton's game, and in a perfect world Pryor could develop into the perfect back-up for us.  If Pryor stops being unrealistic (which I think he is, but remains to be seen), then perhaps he could see how this situation could actually benefit him as well.

It's all just speculation on my part. As with most things on here during the off-season, just conversation.

We got Joe Webb which is basically Terrell Pryor without being annoying like Prior. God I loved when Pryor tried running on us and everyone got excited then Kuechly layed him the fug out

Why not try him, seriously, I am surprised everyone is against bringing him in.  The truth is simple.  If Cam goes down then you might as well just tank the season and use that time to try to develop some of the young WR's on the roster.  Getting Pryor might be a better option to do that then Anderson.  Pryor can throw on all three levels, Anderson cannot.  Pryor has a higher ceiling, as well, should things pan out for the best.
