Charlotte Bobcats vs. Miami Heat Playoff Series Thread

You pass the ball into the corner to a guy with poor handles when you are on the road at defending champs, you can't expect the call there. I'm not sure it was a foul. What I am sure of is that Charlotte ain't getting that call in Miami and Miami is getting that call in Miami.

With that said, the McBob foul should have been a tech and would have ended the game, so I'm just not gonna blame this on the refs. Usually I am more than happy to. Tonight isn't one of those nights where it is justified.

Charlotte won't get that call IN Charlotte lol.  It doesn't matter how his hands are, why should the ref assume and just dictate the call without looking at the ACTUAL play itself?  You are saying it's OK for the refs to suck because "that is the way it is".

Probably should have been a flagrant but Lebron sold that like a mofo, it was more a chin bump than a throater like he tried to make it out to be.

But why is it acceptable that the small teams get pooed on all the time? It's either a foul or it isn't not a call one or the other. "You need to know your place as a team" is nothing other than an excuse for the refs to call the game incredibly unfairly.

It's not acceptable but it is reality. You draw up that play to get a guy coming off a screen and let him shoot. If you drive to the basket, you aren't getting the call. If you pass into the corner and fumble the ball around, you aren't getting that call.

You can live in a fantasy world where the refs call it perfectly and aren't swayed by things like being in Miami and the defending champs or you can accept reality and try to deal with it. Reality was moving somebody off of a screen was the way to go on that last play. Bobs didn't set up for that.

That can go either way.  You may be the one in the fantasy world thinking it's OK for biased and economic based calls to go down over fair calls that sustain competitive basketball.   In reality, it is NOT right, and people shouldn't have to accept it.  Then again, we don't have to watch or care either.  It just sucks and that all it comes down too.  Really makes you think about what is the point?

What I took from the game:

Al is a beast- but am I the only one who wants him to sit and not further injure that foot?

Kemba was not efficient at all but knock down some huge shots in the 4th.

MKG was probably told by Clifford that he needed to attack the rim with Al injured. This game was his best of his career. Loved him driving to the hoop.

Since the playoffs started, Zelller looks more like the 1st half of the season than the last half. He looks to pass as soon as he gets it and if he does attempt a drive, he looks like he has 2 left feet.

Can we trade Gary Neal for sessions before we go back to Charlotte?

Have you noticed Biz was not played at all tonight and I don't remember him in there Sunday either..?

Hendos block was epic.

I wouldn't mind us chucking up about 5-10 more 3pt shot instead of settling for a sloppy drive to the hoop by Kemba or Neal or Hendo at the end of a shot clock

Tolliver needs 3 shots a game. Period

Yeah I absolutely LOVED the hard foul by McRoberts at the time...but after I've had the hour to cool off a bit, eh, probably could have done with out that. It cost us big time. Something else to consider is Neal had the ball with like 7 seconds to go, had his defender go up and he drew contact only to throw the ball away. He should have went up with the shot.

Oh well. There's not much margin for error in this series with the inconsistent officiating. Next year could be really nice if they can land a wing player who can shoot.

I don't really think it cost us at all. He was shooting 2 regardless, he just made sure it wasn't an and-1. I think they should've been doing that the whole time, maybe will less elbows to the face.

yeah these are good points, I guess since they didn't flagrant McRoberts it wasn't as bad as it could have been. You gotta admit you were a little surprised it was only a personal. Greg Anthony was basically speechless.

What cost us was the obviously inexperience and bad possession at the end of the game.

Miami is a horrible sports town and those people in the stands rooting for LeBron and "their" heat don't deserve poo.

We are literally an MKG jumper and a two guard away from being a very good team.

If MKG develops a jumper, he's only leaving the floor when he's in foul trouble; simple as that. He came out at the end of the game because he's not a three point threat. He needs to be in the gym every day this summer fixing that thing. I expect him and Price to have a lot of one-on-one sessions this summer.

If we had a two guard who could knock down a three, Gary Neal isn't in the game at that point. I'm really warming up to Lance Stephenson.

PG: Kemba Walker, Ramon Sessions (FA), Luke Ridnour (Re-Sign)

SG: Lance Stephenson (FA), Gerald Henderson, Jeff Taylor, Gary Neal

SF: Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, K.J. McDaniels (Draft), Chris Douglas-Roberts (Re-Sign)

PF: Josh McRoberts, Cody Zeller, Anthony Tolliver (Re-Sign)

C: Al Jefferson, Bismack Biyombo

Cut: Brendan Haywood (I hate to cut Haywood, but I actually think he'll retire after this season).

Stash (Draft): Nikola Jokic: Draft this kid and keep him overseas for a few years. He reminds me of Marc Gasol except this kid can drain from three. He's 6'11" big bodied, has a decent post game, and is an excellent passer. He can also play the power forward position. After McBob's contract is up next year, bring him on over.

I was debating whether or not to sign a backup big and relegate Biz, but a second unit of Sessions, Henderson, McDaniels, Zeller, and Biyombo should still be able to put up points regardless of who is at center.

I just finished watching on DVR delay, and as you all have already, I need to vent.

Our bench is playing like total utter poo.  Gary Neal the "shooting" specialist couldn't hit water if he fell out of a boat.  Cody Zeller looks like he's never played organized ball.  All the clamoring for him to play over Josh all season is over and done with.  Right now, experience matters, and he can't even stay on his fugging feet.  It's pathetic watching him out there.

CDR is in over his head, can't defend their wings.  Luke sucks, AT is one dimensional and streaky as hell.  Biz didn't even play tonight with Al on just one good foot.

With a poo bench, our starters can't rest, so they are gassed when it matters in crunch time.  Clifford obviously realized this as he stuck with starters most of the second half.  As soon as we made that progress and closed the gap he subbed in Neal and CDR and we immediately poo the bed.

I'm beyond frustrated watching the Heat players act entitled throughout the game, it's as if they've never committed a foul when some of their muggings could be charged as a felony.

I hope Lebron shreds every ligament in his knee on the center court of TWC arena, and every Bobcat lines up to piss in his mouth.  And fug you Bosh, you toothpick cock sucker, I hope you get syphillis if you don't already have it.  Birdman will give it to you.

I'd like to say I feel better after that, but I don't.  MKG exceeded his potential tonight and god damned Al Jefferson gave all he had with a torn plantar fascia.  Everybody else can stand around jerking off or bust their ass and contribute.  If Neal doesn't start dropping shots at home, he can go eat a bag of dicks.

I love this team!
