Both of my roomies are big time craft beer bros and there's always Hop Drop N Roll in my fridge. I've never had one but they rave about it. One of them is in an craft beer of the month club and gets a case sent to the house of random craft beers around the country. I've had some but I don't know what they were called.

They are both out of town for the weekend ...I might go steal one of those Hop Drop N Roll beers to see what all the talk is about. I'm drinking a BL as I type this.

NODA is located in Charlotte. The Hop Drop N Roll is probably the best brew in Charlotte right now. It's probably the best IPA in all of North Carolina, too.

That bomber beside it is the 2nd best stout in NC, only topped by the bourbon barrel aged version of itself.

I splurged this weekend.

If you're drinking BL I take it you don't drink craft beer. I wouldn't advise you to grab one of the HDNR's. You'll hate it and will end up pouring it down the drain. It'll completely blow your palate.

It's a west coast style which is fruity; pineapple, grapefruit, citrus, but it's also extremely hoppy & hop forward. She's bitter.

I'm trying to evolve into a devout craft beer drinker but old habits are hard to break lol.

Isn't that a seasonal by New Belgium? I've heard of it but never seen it. I'm sure you'll be able to get it at their brew pub in town.

Have you checked Hops N Vines? They usually have anything I'm looking for. Bruisin Ales & Appalachian Vitner seem to be a little more hit & miss.

and i don't care if i get poo from the snobs from this but this is one of the best goddamn beers i've ever had in my life. rocky's hot chicken shack and a pint of this and i'm in heaven

Never had that one but it looks similar to Sam Adams Cold Snap, which I really like.

Highland is so damn hit or miss. Oatmeal Porter is my favorite Asheville brew, but the St Teresa's Pale Ale & Kashmir Black IPA were horrible and almost drain pours.

black mocha is amazing but cold mountain is their seasonal winter brew. it gets sold out in like 2 weeks. its fuging unreal. best brew they have.

I didn't like the mocha stout but I'm not a big coffee fan. It tasted like something straight from Starbucks. Great beer if you like coffee, just not my style.

That sounds like the event horizon from olde hickory. poo is gone within hours of being released every year. There was a line at bruisin ales the day they released it.

It was released in October & I still haven't found a bottle.

We have so many local brews here we consider New Belgium to be what the tourists drink. And we get fresh hops here. Asheville can't compete with Denver. Bigger mountains, stronger beer, and 90% less white trash. Don't forget our THC infused beers. Sent from my XT1080 using CarolinaHuddle mobile app
