Pretty much all beer is disgusting let's be honest

Sent from my SCH-I545 using CarolinaHuddle mobile app

exactly, I don't drink to relax or to be social or to be cool. I drink to get drunk then I am usually done for a few weeks or even months before I drink again.

I used to feel that way, 1 sip would turn my stomach... Back then I either drank Jack Daniels or Boones Farm if the ABC was closed..

Now though, a cold beer tastes awesome after a long day at work, even better after doing yard work....

I do drink the "mainstream" beers. My regular rotation includes Michelob, Grolsch, Peroni, Stella & StPauli Girl.... I find the microbrews too hoppy for my taste... But I will try anything once, twice if I like it....

All that has been said is true.... It's still miles better than Miller Lite

Miller lite is the worst beer you can get at a bar. There's worse stuff than it like Steel Reserver/beast ice/cheap college beer, etc but Miller Lite is absolutely disgusting and I can't drink it.

I've been switching up my beer to try and be more of a kraft beer bro but when it comes down to it you cannot beat $2 BLs

Great list! Duck Rabbit Milk Stout is so freakin' epic!

That and Moo-Hoo from Terrapin got me started on a stout kick that I've yet to get off of. The majority of my friends think I'm weird for drinking craft beer, especially stouts. But the difference in enjoying a nice Duck Rabbit Milk Stout for 5 bucks, or a 4 dollar Bud Light at the bar? Yeah, I'll laugh at them instead.

I def agree w/ this. But if BL is $2-$2.50 when I go out, I'm drinking those. But if you go somewhere like Duckworths, Hick Tav, Blackfinn..where the BL is usually $3.75...I mean just bite the bullet and get a better beer or switch it over to liquor.

That Panthers Playoff Bar Crawl that Roaring Riot organized (and did a good job) was at blackfinn but the beer "special" IIRC was $3.75 miller lite draft. No thank you.

I'm going to the Springsteen concert tomorrow night and I can already tell you I'm bringing a flask. I went to the Chilli Peppers concert there two springs ago and I recall blowing through $50 faster than being at vegas black jack table.

Interesting that there is talk about canned beer on this thread. MANY craft beer breweries are moving towards canning their beers now because the technology to line the inside of the cans to remove the aluminum taste is so great. They obviously don't line the inside of domestic beers, but try a Hop Drop from NoDa and it's awesome out of a can. Not to mention the other benefits of canning for flavor preservation such as - no exposure to light and reduced space for air. Don't be surprised if most breweries don't start canning eventually.

Ironically enough, I'm actually throwing a canned beer festival in June at Brazwell's. We're focusing on craft beers that can their beers. I'll be updating the list of breweries by next Wednesday - I've got 11 commitments so far.

I used to only drink BLs, but now I can go out and drink 3 IPAs and have a better buzz than when I drink 10 BLs. That's $15 for the IPAs vs $25 on BLs for me.

Also...thanks for the love on the crawl.

Pretty sure I saw you drinking a BL in Atlanta. This year I'll show you the "secret stash".

haha I was gonna mention that as my one exception. I felt obliged to drink something. I switched to coors light immediately after and could barely stomach that either.

I would pay extra to upgrade to even just yuengling

I'll see if I can work out getting a craft can to sponsor ATL. Might be something like Goose Island but that's better than nothing for sure.
