I am a Jordan Matthews fan boy, so I want him in the first. But I am afraid this team will go OT in the first. No matter what, then pick up a WR, whichever is left in the second and third rounds.

Jordan Matthews is a player.  Here's a really good article on him.  I was hoping to steal Matthews in the second, but I know it's a long shot.

If they took him in the first, I would not complain.

Truthfully, I'm hoping Ealy drops to us! I think he will be an upgrade over CJ and it allows us to cut CJ in 2015. Meanwhile, we will have a nice NASCAR package this year in CJ-Star-Hardy-Ealy.

If Ealy doesn't drop, then BPA of CB, WR or OL. Either way, I want a WR in the first 3 rds. And at least 2 more OLmen

Ealy imo isn't as good as people on here think he is.

If he was we wouldn't have a chance at him. Pass rushers are a premium position and if he was that good he wouldn't be close to where we pick.

Mel Kiper just released his latest Mock and he does indeed project a run on WRs:

3 Sammy Watkins Jacksonville Jaguars

7 Mike Evans Tampa Bay Buccaneers

15 Odell Beckham Jr. Pittsburgh Steelers

18 Brandin Cooks New York Jets

22 Kelvin Benjamin Philadelphia Eagles

23 Marqise Lee Kansas City Chiefs

27 Cody Latimer New Orleans Saints

(28 Carolina takes OT Moses)

30 Jordan Matthews San Francisco 49ers

35 Davante Adams Cleveland Browns

48 Bruce Ellington Baltimore Ravens

57 Donte Moncrief San Diego Chargers

59 Jarvis Landry Indianapolis Colts

60 Josh Huff Carolina Panthers

still available:

Allen Robinson, Penn State

Paul Richardson, Colorado

Martavis Byrant, Clemson

Jared Abbrederis, Wisconsin

Robert Herron, Wyoming

Devin Street, Pittsburgh

etc

on Huff to Carolina at 60: "They got the tackle they needed in Round 1 and now take advantage of the WR depth in Round 2. Huff doesn't blow you away in workouts, but when it's time to compete in pads he consistently makes plays and competes for catches."

No way is Huff over Robinson.

Want vs. Need.

As an outsider I'd love to see a field stretching TE or Sammy Watkins** hit the Panthers roster.  A WR who can get some YAC from Cam, who can be anywhere on the field and blow it up.  That'd be fun.  That's a want.

Need is simple.  Panthers need to shore up the OL and protect the backfield.  Can't do it all in one draft but if they could go OL and get a top 4 or 5 rated interior line player in round one and double down and get another in the second with maybe some good depth later at OT - that'd be tremendous.

**Watkins could struggle in the NFL as it was like 50% or more of his passes in NCAA started from the LOS.  Plus, WR's his size drafted that early in the last so many years haven't exactly succeeded.

1st round OT

Lewan

Martin

Moses

1st round CB

Dennard

Roby

Fuller

Varrett

1st round WR

Honestly I wouldn't take a wr in the 1st when the difference in talent between the 3rd best wr and the 15th isn't as much drop of as corner or tackle but these are the ones I want in the draft

Jordon matteaws ( only one 1st round worthy )

Donte Moncrief

Cody latimer

Devante Adams

Martavis Bryant

Dre archer

Players I like besides ot/wr/CB in the 1st

OLB Ryan shazier

TE Eric Ebron

FS haha Clinton-Dix

FS Calvin Pryor

This type of argument is used often leading up to drafts, but usually a couple of years down the road, those prospects turn out to not be as close as analysts said/thought.
