I'd listen to Anybodyhome on this one.  I would call the courts.  Don't just take some cops word for it.

 

this..  let me just say it wouldn't be shocking to hear of a cop not fully up to date with the law...   And then sometimes they just say poo for the response (or to fug with with you..)

Arrest records are public record. Police reports are not. poo, even defense attorneys won't get the "discovery" package until just prior to trial. The state attorneys aren't required to turn the information over prior to the time that a trial date is set.

Most of the time idiots agree to plea deals put in front of them before ever seeing the actual evidence against them.

Anyhow, the cop is right. The full report will be unavailable until after trial, to the public. There might be some other form you can get for insurance but prior to your neighbor's conviction I doubt insurance will accept his fault.

Pretty much what detective said.  He said they basically still investigating his ass but everything is set.  When he set our house on fire we were asleep so he will be charged with criminal destruction of property with possibility of causing serious harm.  It's a misdemeanor charge but because it's his 3rd offense in 5 months it can become a felony depending on judge's ruling.

 

1st offense - he lost control of his car around 4am and ran through neighbors front yard and rammed their parked car on their drive way.  He took off, drove 2 houses down and parked at his house like nothing happened.  Neighbors call the cops, cops came and found him piss drunk and high on drugs.  He also had drugs on him.  He also did not have a driver license.  His bail was set at $700.

 

2nd offense - Only 1 month later on January 1st, 2014 he got arrested again at 4am for driving piss drunk and without a driver license

 

3rd offense - This is a current offense.  Piss drunk and on drugs at 7am shooting flare gun in the neighborhood.  Set my other neighbors grass on fire and my house on fire.  When he saw my house on fire, he pretended like he knows nothing until my neighbor said she saw him setting my house on fire.

 

2 days ago - Police, Medics and Fire department came to his house around 5am because he was likely high on drugs again.  He was yelling and screaming when they took him away.  

 

Right now he's chilling at home.  I can see a light on in his bedroom.

So my neighbor set my house on fire 2 weeks ago.  Neighbor is being charged with criminal damage to real property.  I tried to get a report from the police but cops will only give me 1st page where it states that I'm a victim but does not state who responsible party is.  Report consist of 7 pages... pages 2-7 are all about responsible party but the police is unable to provide me with these pages because my neighbor is being charged for criminal damage.  They can only release these pages to a lawyer...  I cannot call my neighbor insurance company because I don't have a full report and my insurance company will make me pay deductible and will increase my premium because they also don;t have a full report...  It's seems like my only options is to hire a lawyer.  Anyone know any good lawyer that deals with insurance companies?

Being an idiot. He tho it would be fun to shoot a flare gun. He set my house on fire by mistake but when he saw my house on fire, he tried to go back inside the house to hide.

 

smh dumb ass
