With our offense switching to 12 personnel...

Does that roto world quote say where they got the info that Shula plans to run more 12 personnel? It doesn't quote Shula or anything it just says he plans to run more 12 personnel as if it's an opinion based on the people we've brought in. Did he do an interview with them or something?

Here is the link.  Had to find it myself to see what was said.  I don't read the Observer much....

Meanwhile, in a 12 package with two TEs, we continue to make good use of that billion dollar backfield. Plus, Tolbert has to be on the field for the majority of snaps.

I think Deangelo might be June 1 casualty and Stewart will be shown the door next year.

Would it make sense drafting Kelvin Benjamin and playing him as a tweener? Our offense will be deadly... Most of the time he will draw coverage's by LBs and Safeties and both are mismatch.

Chud ran 12 personnel with Olsen and Shockey. Our basic formation this year will be:

WR1-TE-LT-LG-C-RG-RT-TE-WR2

--------------------QB

--------------------RB

Another option is to get a speedy WR in 1st and Troy Niklas in 2nd.

12 Personnel offense can also help a lot with bad LT and RT (our current issue).

12 Personnel does not require to have a #1 WR because TE's will likely have more catches.

You make it sound as if we are doing the offensive equivalent of switching from a 4-3 to 3-4.

This just means as of right now they are considering adding a handful more plays with 2 tight end sets, not changing our whole offensive philosophy.

We are defintiely on the same page.

Now....you better get your ass down here for at least one game this year.  None of this every 3 years crap.

Im gonna try to do 2, but 1 is definite, Da Bears more than likely.. Im sure biscuit & I will coordinate again, & Id like to bring my boys down for 1. Regardless, I'll be there early, help set up the tailgate.....

I swear we have what we want on offense as far as WR..

I can almost garentee or main focus is to bulk up the line so we can run the ball the way we want. Many will go full fukctard when we don't take a WR in the first 3. Call me an optimist but if we are running a 12 the WR corps we got will do the deed CONSIDERING WHAT WE WANT TO DO OFFENSIVLY. Beef up that OL now and we can take WR next season

I fully agree with you on beefing up the line.  Won't it be harder to draft a WR next year when we draft at 32?

I read the first few posts on this thread and then skipped to the end.  I have 2 observations/comments:

1. What happened?  We take a comment about running one back, two tights and now we are going to revamp the line (I am with you there) and get rid of Stew and DWill and go after WRs in 2015?  I think I am witness to a genuine tangent here--but I may have missed something.

2.  We need to find Hatter's tailgate party before Da Bears game.

We used it last year quiet a bit but for Shula to come out and state an increase in usage of this formation signifies that it will be used a lot. Use your common sense.

What does your response have to do with my post about your assumption that most people missed this news. I'll tell you. Absolutely nothing. Try some common sense yourself. Hell, just try to comprehend what you read.

I quoted wrong post but to answer your little irrelevant comment go read this thread from the very beginning. I assumed most people seen this news and by most I mean regular huddlers and not someone who averages 10 posts a month. The first few comments all asked me for a source which I provided. When someone like Rodeo who spends most of his time here never heard this news before, I assumed this news never made it to huddle and it seems it didn't and considering that around 70% of all huddlers get their news from the huddle, I assumed most people never heard this news.
