Panthers hosting WR Robert Herron

El Chingon

Recommended Posts

Had him in my first mock back before the college all star games.  Don't think he is all world or anything, I had him in the 5th.  Then, the Senior Bowl and combine have made his numbers look better.  Bottom of the 4th would be a great value.  Small conference guys (like S Smith) can sometimes fly below the radar.

I'm hoping for OT in the 1st, WR in the 2nd, and then BPA from there on out, mostly of OL and WR. If Herron is that guy in the 3rd or 4th, could be a nice pick with his tools.

Of all the names at OT and WR in this draft...we should come away with multiple guys who can improve this team in our key areas of need. Landing 2-3 starters in this draft, or even potential studs, could go a long ways in taking this team to the next level.

I am hoping for a starting CB in this draft which means it will have to come in the first 2 rds.

I'm hoping the BPA's in the 1st 2 rounds are OT and/or WR. Don't see CB as the biggest need. The front 7 will take a load off the DB just like they did last season.

the front seven was ineffective against SF and they had their way with our secondary. This is the case everytime the front 7 is stopped. To move forward we need to get some talent in the secondary, starting talent. We have ignored it for going on 3 years. we need to address it this year in this draft. The one position we can afford not to worry about in the first 2 rds is WR  where there is a wealth of talent i later rounds.

Agree. Even though I think OT is our biggest need, our best value at 28 may be CB.

The talent in later rounds isn't there for a #1 receiver. Gettleman won't pass up the BPA in round one, and biggest needs are OT and WR.

I think we all need to come to a consensus on what BPA really means in the NFL.

A consensus you say? I know what 'best player available' means to me, but since a consensus can't be reached on who the best player is, at any particular draft position, good luck with a consensus on the definition itself.
