Kemo has a torn achilles.

We are likely to bring in a 300lb 3 technique DT to help get an inside push. Maybe we will give Darwin Walker a look again as he has experience, won't be expensive and can play in our scheme after playing in Philly in a similar scheme.

I expect that we will look at Robertson or someone else who is on no one's radar right now.

You Guys are so screwed. You got no back up help to begin with. That been said, I hate it for the guy. It is good for the Falcons but we would much rather beat you with all hands on deck. The silver lining is that the back up will be working with the 1st Team all pre season. Injuries just suck on any team. I wish him a speedy recovery!

A torn achilles tendon can take up to 2 years to fully recover on a normal human, Kemo is a 350lb house...they will most likely put him on IR and sign a free agent. It's gonna hurt you guys but we lost Osi last year and the Eagles just lost Bradley...its always bad to lose someone but it happens and teams just have to deal with it.

Man.. I like how no one thinks it's possible for a rookie to fill in. There's still ALL of training camp left. People on here seem to think the only way to save ourselves is if we sign someone off the streets or by a trade. Kemo was big, but some of our picks are just as big. And maybe they can do a better job of getting some push than him. Hell We might be able to sneak on another DE onto the team cuz of this now.

Another thing, our philosophy this year is swarm to the ball. Which should help A LOT with this loss.

    • Man that was awful.  Completely killed my NBA fandom in a way that will never recover. I loved that Hornets team.  The Bobcats were the worst possible replacement.
    • OK, so this is a bit weird.  When I coached at Salisbury High School when I first started teaching, I used to go over to Catawba College to watch film and talk football with their coaches.  They were great. Curtis, Jalon's father, I assume, was a LB at Catawba and hired as LB coach by Bennett When Coastal started their program, they hired Catawba's coach Bennett.  Bennett must have taken Jalen's father with him to Coastal. I am guessing that is about the time Jalon was born and why he was in Conway. So then his father comes back to Salisbury after Jalen is born and takes the head coaching job. Jalen is a good interview.  I love the kid based on this, and I have heard good things from former colleagues of FB.  Salibury (when I was there) was a very rough school.  Gangs, drugs, etc.  To put it in perspective, I was there for 2.5 years and I had four (4) students in my class (at different times) who committed murder during that time. A girl was raped in the gym by a few boys.  One night, after a game (there is a road between the coaches offices in the gym and the rest of the school) the coaches watched film until 1 AM or so.  When we were leaving to walk to our cars parked across that street, we noticed a car sitting in the middle of the road about 100 yards away with its lights off.  The driver took off when we neared the street, so we all hit the ground.  As the car passed, we heard about 6 or 7 gunshots.  The next day, the van behind where we fell to the ground had 2 bullet holes in it, about 5 feet above the ground.  All that to say this:  If the young man on the video endured anything like that, I want him to succeed and I found it interesting that he mentioned playing for the Panthers.  I am not sold on the player as a fit here based on our needs, but I am sold on the person.  Very proud of him for some reason that many may not understand.
    • First off, he's not even eligible for a contract yet.  You have to play three years. And thank goodness! All we saw last year were glimpses.  Yes, those glimpses were enough that I think every fan wants to see him come back next year.  But bottom line is that so far, with only a couple games worth of exceptions, he hasn't yet shown that he's a FRANCHISE QB.  He hasn't shown the consistent ability to elevate the players around him. He could be the guy.  After week two of this year, just saying that much is a massive, massive positive swing.  But let's see him put it together for 17 games.  Let's see him make the people around him BETTER.  Then we can talk about extending him. Let's not lose sight of the fact that thus far in his career, in no season has BY exceeded the rookie stats of MAC JONES. We should  be excited for the possibility, but we certainly haven't seen yet what we need to see to declare we have our guy.
