SSSSSh1......t.

That just SUCKS.

I can only imagine how devastated Kemo is.

I guess our line is wafer thin now....better start looking for a replacement. I don't see Kemo back for this year...an Achilles tear is not something that heals fast and it can be reaggravated easily. Big man ain't gonna be on the field this season....sheesh that really sux.

I might be wrong, but usual recovery times for this injury is 8-12 weeks, depending on severity. Since it happened this early, there is chance they don't place him on IR and maybe put him on the PUP list, freeing up a spot for 5 weeks. That gives him over 12 weeks to heal, considering we have a bye in week 3. So there is still a chance he plays well over half the season. He and Vick could come in for us in week 6!

Well Fox, you sit there with your thumb up your ass and don't even address the biggest weakness on the team. Now our best player is out. What are you going to do now? Still feed us this bullsh*t that you are still comfortable with the guys you currently have?

Depends on the severity and position. The Achilles is like a bow string stretched tight and provides all the push. It's the worst possible injury that comes to my mind for a D tackle.

I had a very small tear to mine, and "recovered" (well enough to walk) in about two month's. That was after my football days and I can tell you from someone who considers himself relatively tuff. I don't see how I could have managed to push off from a crouch with that. Carrying 300+ there's no way.

For his sake he'd probably been better off breaking an ankle (my nightmare injury)

I totally agree! Our whole rushing defense just went right down the drain in one measly practice. I think I may have to redo my prediction now to 5-11. Kemo was alot more important than people realize. I do not want to see that bum Nick Hayden getting pushed back like a rag doll all season like he was in that Giants game. Corey Irvin is too much of an unknown and Damione Lewis has always been average in stopping the run. What a hell of a way to kick off the season.

Our? Am I missing something? I thought you were a Falcons fan!

Sucks that it happened, but we've got time to address it and work his replacement into the scheme, we'll find out what we've got back there, and overall this team is good enough to overcome it. This type of thing happens, it's football not soccer or table tennis. I mean come on, it's not like we suddenly have the Saints D-line or anything.
