Kevin Weidl from ESPN on Morgan Moses

a draft site on Moses:

Moses allowed only two sacks in 2013... He has the talent to be an elite left tackle in the NFL, but needs some coaching and tweaking of his technique ... don't be surprised to see a team like Denver or Seattle take him at the end of round one.

...

His height (6'6"); bulk (325); arm length (34") are all prototypical NFL left tackle...Despite his large size, Moses is an exceptional athlete. He has has quick feet and reaction speed which allows him to be a standout in pass protection. He is one of the strongest left tackles in this draft...he has elite strength...and Moses also uses his long 34" arms to hold off pass rushers and push them around the pocket.... Experienced and durable; three plus year starter, no injuries

Cyrus Koandjio and Moses are my top tackles for the 1st round and should be available when we pick. Both of the tackles  plays to the strength of the Panther's Offensive scheme that involves man-blocking in the run game, while their pass protection will improve through coaching and facing two of the top DE's in practice.

This^^^

With the depth at WR, we can still get a stud in the 2nd round. If either Moses or CK is there at 28, we should pull the trigger.

Listening to WFNZ today and Kevin said if Moses is there at 28 GMAN should sprint to the podium and take him.

He even said if he falls to 20 we should trade up to get him. He said that Moses is climbing up the boards of teams and is a legit LT.

He went on to say we should be able to get two WRs that will be impact players as deep as the 4th round.

God no. I am tired of trading up. Remember how well that's worked for us in the past?

Mel Kiper just came out with his latest mock. This is where he has the OL going:

2 Greg Robinson St. Louis Rams - "one of the better offensive linemen to enter the draft in years"

6 Taylor Lewan Atlanta Falcons - "there's a case to be made that Lewan is the most ready tackle for NFL competition, with four good years under his belt."

9 Jake Matthews Buffalo Bills - "best player left on the board at this point"

16 Zack Martin Dallas Cowboys

28 Morgan Moses Carolina Panthers - "The additions of Jerricho Cotchery and Jason Avant aren't tantamount to a "fix" at wide receiver, and I could certainly see the Panthers going that direction. But if there's a run at the position as you have here, this may be a better place to take a possible starter at tackle, which is a pretty big deal considering they need a pair of them. Cam Newton's ability to run shouldn't be confused with a lack of need to even create a decent pocket, and I think that's a question mark. Carolina could also look at cornerback here (Jason Verrett), so the Panthers may just look for the best player available among a few positions where the need is pressing."

38 Gabe Jackson Tampa Bay Buccaneers - "When he's healthy, the Bucs have one really good guard in Carl Nicks. But they don't have another good one, and Nicks' health can't be assumed. Jackson is a good one."

43 Xavier Su'a-Filo New York Giants - "Su'a-Filo is as good as any guard in the draft."

50 Joel Bitonio Miami Dolphins - "Bitonio can play either guard or tackle and Dolphins need help at both...He'll play right away."

55 Cyrus Kouandjio Cincinnati Bengals - "it's hard for me to fathom him this low knowing what he can be if it all comes together, but..health questions and consistency issues during his last season caused Kouandjio's stock to take a hit... Kouandjio in this range is a total value"

61 Marcus Martin San Francisco 49ers - "The 49ers have a clear need at center, and Martin should capably fill the hole. He's an impressive athlete among peers even at a position where some athleticism is assumed."

63 David Yankey Denver Broncos - "moves really well and fills a need for the Broncos after the departure of Zane Beadles."

64 Ja'Wuan James Seattle Seahawks

another draft site:

"Greg Robinson, Jake Matthews, and Taylor Lewan have gotten all of the hype in this year's offensive tackle class, but Morgan Moses isn't too shabby himself.... At 6'6", 315 pounds, Moses looks the part... He is extremely athletic, and he gets to the second level with ease in the run game.... instinctive and athletic... NFL Comparison: Ryan Clady, Denver... it is almost a definite that the team that drafts Moses will make him a starter right away. The best thing about Moses is that he could play right tackle if asked upon, but left tackle is where he fits best in the NFL."

Overview

Virginia native and Parade All-American. Was a non-qualifier out of high school and attended Fork Union (Va.) Military Academy in 2009. Played 11 games in '10, starting six of the final seven at right tackle. Sprained his left ankle during '11 fall camp, but started all 13 games at RT. Started 11-of-12 games at left tackle in '12 -- did not start against Wake Forest (undisclosed injury) and sprained his ankle against North Carolina. Started all 12 games at LT in '13. Did not lift at the NFL Scouting Combine because of a left shoulder injury (medical exlusion).

Analysis

Strengths

Has outstanding size and vines for arms -- sheer mass and length makes it difficult for rushers to run the arc on him. Has strength to anchor. Wins with his hands. Pulls with a head of steam and can eliminate defenders when he has a bead. Logged 43 career starts.

Weaknesses

Plays too tall and needs to drop anchor more consistently. Heavy on his feet and tends to bend at the waist. Lethargic shifting his weight -- stressed by speed and quickness and cannot recover when beaten. Limited hip snap and is not sudden or explosive. Does not breathe fire -- plays smaller than his size in the run game and does not seek to bury defenders. Weight has fluctuated and conditioning needs to be monitored closely. Recorded the slowest 10-yard split (2.08 seconds) of any participant at the combine and tied for the lowest vertical jump (21 1/2 inches) among all offensive linemen.

Draft Projection

Rounds 2-3

Bottom Line

Big, long-armed leaner with sheer size and length and enough movement skill to function at an adequate level on the right side, though his high-maintenance conditioning, intermittent intensity and uneven performance turns off some teams. Developmental project.

Chargers blogger:

"Moses: Could He Be the Future At Left Tackle?...Moses grades out to an 8.06, or a fringe 1st round talent.... I'd have no issue taking him in the 1st round (Chargers pick at 25), and he's likely a top 5 tackle in this class.... How He Fits as a Charger...He could be the future left tackle starter, and might unseat (29-year-old starting LT) King Dunlap in year one...He'd instantly improve the pass protection."
