Steve Wyche comments on NFLN this AM reg Dwill

Aside from DW, there are people on here who seem to support DWill's opinion.  What was it again about our WRs that were good last year?  If you want to improve an offense, do you retain the same players?

No- You Clean house.

It makes perfect sense. Who exactly had a future here?  A 35-year old speed WR who scored 4 TDs on 745 yards.

An underachieving #2 who disappeared when Smitty was out and dropped more balls that the state Lottery host.

A speedy WR with poor hands who cannot run the entire route tree. He averaged about 30+ yards per game and it was his second best season as a pro.

Of course his salary a part of the problem. So is Charles Johnson's, and Greg Hardy's. All of these guys have a right to speak up though.

You can agree or disagree with what he said without dragging him through the mud.

Those two players perform to their contracts

They also play a completely different position.

I mean obviously he is not worth the contract he is currently under, but that horse has been beaten to death long ago.

Why are you jumping all over the place?

So to my original point again. He's not worth his contract, his statements are ironic, end of story. That's where most posters are coming from

Let me know when Johnson and Hardy start averaging 4.5 sacks a season. Then you may have a point.

At least Stewie is smart enough to keep his trap shut regarding roster moves.

Do we really need to discuss the difference between the position he plays, splitting carries mind you, and a DE?

He didn't say anything offensive. The entire board just about had an an aneurysm when it all went down. Is it really that much of a stretch for anyone to believe that the players were also surprised, and also concerned about the situation? Does that make them a bad teammate for being concerned? If they make over a certain amount of money, should they no longer have any input? Is he a villain because he signed a contract in front of him?

You keep talking about chemistry but how about the shot he took at the new WR core? How does that bode for chemistry? I liked DWill and I thought he was more calculated, apparently, he's the Aceboogie of the panthers' locker room.

Yeah well I think there's a different between the way you worded it just now, and the hyperbole we've seen in this thread.

I don't perceive the comments he made as taking a shot at the new WR's.

Do we really need to go in-depth regarding semantics?

The point remains: Johnson and Hardy are living up to their contracts. Williams is not. Therefore, D-Will is a big reason why we couldn't afford to keep a guy like Ginn or sign a guy like Jackson via free agency.

I literally just said a few posts above that Williams is not worth the current contract he is under.

I really doubt that Gettleman was going to sign Jackson, with or without Deangelo Williams contract.
