So if he were not here we keep the whole corp or part of it? Looks like they were gone either way.

I think I remember a quote from Gettlemen where he said he would've liked to keep Ginn and Mitchell but they received a better contract offer than he could match.

You mean the players that traditionally lost more than they won under Marty Hurney?

Those players are missing the bad ol' days already, eh? And (in your opinion) are ready to take a poo in the locker room to get the bad ol' days back?

Well, considering the attitudes of their boot-licking fans, I'm not surprised.

it's getting damn funny and humorous now isn't it?  :dw:

I think more like "willing" to match.

Not sure if matching Mitchell's contract would have been fiscally responsible. Ginn either. Like it or not, Hurney is still butt fugging us and these players need to understand that.

first and foremost means D-Will was not the main reason.

I don't know about others, but I haven't said Deangelo's contract is the main reason they are gone. I've always said his contract is a prime example of a contract that has been hurting this team. Dead money to Gross, Beason, Smitty. All reasons. But his contract is certainly a microcosm to the teams financial problems.

It's like someone on lifelong welfare saying "wtf is wrong with America these days?" It's laughable IMO.

the spend now, worry later approach didn't work for 10 years, and some fans want to keep trying it. amazing.

Yeah the constant moaning is getting old. I for one welcome the new approach. These complainers better be glad I'm not in charge of the team because I would only give out very few second contracts to players. There would only be about 8 or 10 players on second contracts on this team and the rest would be replaced through the draft as much as possible and through low cost FA. Let the other teams over pay for these guys.

a welfare citizen has just as much right to ask a question or state their opinion as anyone else. He was called the main reason the wr's were gone.

I'm not even going to get into a discussion about this because it will get this phenomenal thread bumped to the tinderbox faster than Deangelo Williams can run into the back of Ryan Kalil.

Amen.

That prick fumbled on the 8 yard line going in for the win vs. the eventual super bowl champs.  I am still pissed at his sorry Terminator-looking ass.
