Trade Up For MIKE EVANS?

Sure its a deep class of wr, but none of them is comparable to MIKE EVANS!

Yes actually they do...

He's not the next Calvin Johnson so just get rid of any of that thought as Johnson runs a 4.3 and has a 42" vert

Compare to Evans who has 4.5 and 37" vert...he is going to be good but he will have to make catches over people and won't be burning anyone like CJ can.

There will be a few  WRs at 28 that would be able to contribute enough to warrant NOT wasting picks on moving up to get this guy.

If he was a freak athlete then maybe...but he's just a tall WR with great hands...his athletic ability isn't even all that great.

He Was 11th or worse in the drills at the combine and when you watch him...he is what he is...the big guy who catches passes over the top...he's not wowing you with impressive feats of athleticism.

That said he would be a perfect fit for Cam who throws the ball way too damn high but not at the cost of moving up to get him. If there is any sort of universe or time or reality in which he is there at 28...then you have flash take the card to the podium for ya....

I think that because I don't see the G-man timetable as immediate as you do. The value in this draft at WR is in multiple picks.

I won't even comment on the "three."

No way Gman will draft two WRs in the 1st three rounds after what he've done in the offseason. Be smart. This isnt your typical fantasy mock draft where land both a Brandin Cooks and Jordan Matthews.

I don't think we can afford to mortgage the future for Evans and here's why.

I'm a big stats guy and according to the metrics, 44% of Evans' receptions come 20+ yards down the field. This is a great stat and in all actuality, Mike Evans would be a great toy for Shula who tends to draw up deep routes for players. However, with no offensive line, Cam will be sacked before Evans can make it down the field.

I actually think Cooks is the better fit with the offensive line that we have, because not only is he a deep threat, he is screen machine as well, averaging over 13 yards per reception on screen passes.

We looked terrible to start the off season. Now, with the additions of Cotchery, Underwood, Avant, Cason, Harper, and DeCoud it surely helped us. I would personally trade up all the way to Minnesota at no8 and take him. Give away (2014 1st, 2014 2nd, and 2015 1st) for him. Hes def worth the risk!

We are a WR (Mike Evans) from making another run!!!

We can find OTs in the 3rd and 4th rounds.

Hell no, and I want a WR more than anyone. I'd give up 28 and a 3rd that's it. No way in hell I'm giving up a 1st and a 2nd.

So we trade up and give away extra picks to get a WR who may or may not be what we are expecting him to be...

What about our OL?

May or may not? Ask yourself again.

I know you're smarter than that than to question youself about Evans. Even Stevie Wonder could see that Evans is a STUD.

I would almost guarantee he will be getting a WR in the first 3 rounds maybe not 2 in the first 3 but certainly there are some later round guys like they (say 4th or 5th).

I bet we get 2 OL and 2 WR as 4 of the 7 picks.

No way Evans is on the board at 15. If he gets past TB at no7, I would trade with MINNY at no8: two 1st and a 2nd. Evans is too great of a player to be have that cheap. You gotta give some to get some. Cant be cheap!

right, so we would have to give up more. 15 was a conservative look to show the value and what we would have to give. don't like giving up that much.

There are no guarantees in the draft. Every player is a risk, to what degree varies.

Yes, exactly! That 20+ yards make the most sense!

Right now we have no one who cant stretch the field! Thats why we signed Cotchery and Avant who are good no3 slot WRs.
