Get him then it should be nothing but WRs and OL in the draft.

 

I agree if that happens I have no doubt that we'd reach the playoffs again.

 

There are great WRs/OL in this draft as we all know by now and getting our hands on 4 of those would be a tremendous help.

Why do people want Thomas? He may be talented but that injury history is ridiculous.

 

 

I think it follows along the lines of the potential upside Gman has been doing.

 

He may get injured but we do have practically the same CBs as last year so trying to upgrade the position even if it is for 7-10 games instead of 16 is still a positive in my book.

 

And if he actually stays healthy...then wow our defense would look even better...

 

It is worth thinking about if our tackling on the backend has gotten worse...which it may have...but I think the coverage overall may have improved as well....we'll see I guess.

DeCoud-Harper-Cason are much better than Mitchell-Mikell-Florence-Munnerlyn.

Add Jordan Matthews in the 2nd & our WR corp is improved.

Add an OT in the 1st & 3rd, get Silatolu & Kugbilla healthy, & overall our line is more stable.

Gettleman really, really know what he's doing. It keeps getting harder & harder to understand why that man had to wait so long to get a GM job.

Also...

Hats off to JR for letting pros find him the right GM & then him letting Dave do his job without interfering.

I would like to preface this post by saying I really like this signing.

Now, what happens to Godfrey? Does he get cut or does he take a pay cut and become our nickel? The two year deal may indicate their willingness to part from him, or it could mean nothing at all.

 

He had an achilles.  They can't say he is done until he is healthy, but he probably is.

Seeing that he got a 2 yr deal the Panthers are expecting him to return to being an above average FS.

Feel a bit better about the S now but not overly excited.
