As I said earlier, he had great seasons behind our pass rush before. There really is no excuse for how bad he was last year. 

 

Panthers fans are just trying to be optimistic and are hoping he returns to form of just a season prior to last.  It's not guaranteed or anything, but it's possible.  Plus, it's much more enjoyable to be hopeful.

Quite frankly no one on your defense played admirably last year and Rivera will at least have him playing hard. After all, he is no longer on a team that is soft like your Falcons and that saddens Mr. Blank himself.

That said, I do think that TDC will improve this year, even if only because he will be out of the league in a year if he doesn't.

And none of that matters because he wasn't playing behind the current Panthers front 7.

Bottom line is we signed 3 former Pro Bowlers to the secondary, behind perhaps they best front 7 they have ever played with.  Do I expect them all to return to pro bowl form this year? Of course not.  But I think at the very least, they can do a okay enough job to get by, and have the potential to be much better then that.
