NFL Draft is a month out and I still have no Idea who we're looking at?

Kelvin Benjamin 30th in my new rankings. Was told KB recently blew off workout w NFL coach who had made special trip, said he was too tired

Just seems like a nice place for this tweet, since many like KB. The only thing I like is his size...give me someone else. I still think we'll go OL, but WR may just end up being the better value and determine the pick.

The top three teams this year do not even know who they want yet.  The draft may be deep this year but it does not have tremendous overall talent like many past drafts had.

Do some draft sims with and run 3 QB's in the first 10 picks.  Then run just 1.  It will give an idea how shaky it is.  Drafttek is good for sims, they do a very complex grading system.

They gave ya'll

1 Morgan Moses - OT - Virginia
2 Davante Adams - WRF - Fresno
3 Joel Bitonio - OT - Nevada
4 Will Sutton - DT43 - Arizona State
5 Chris Watt - OG - ND
6 Prince Shembo  - OLB43 - ND
7 Ryan Grant - WRF - Tulane

It definitely addresses the needs.  Adams is a strong, physical player who will impact the offense.

who do you feel will be this years "Star"?

per the mock draft that Will Brinson of CBS published at 9 this morning (before the news broke that we signed TE Ed Dickson), that would be Kouandjio...

28. Carolina Panthers -- Cyrus Kouandjio

Yes the Panthers need a wide receiver or a tight end. But they need an offensive lineman more than anything. Dave Gettleman stole Star Lotulelei last year when he fell because of unnecessary health concerns. Why not the same thing with Kouandjio?

(he didn't have OT Morgan Moses going in the 1st...Moses and Kouandjio are the OT that most have us taking at 28)

No idea who we're interested in means the FO is doing it right... in all honestly, you have no idea what's going to fall into your lap at 28.

When we drafted D-will with the 27th pick we did, if you know about who and what we're looking at you can kinda look at who might go where and judge from there.

A lot of teams will draft on need. and a little bit of guessing and you can usually narrow it down to 3-4 players.

The top 15 players usually go in the top 15 spots, at some point the questions about who and where dont really come around till 23-24 because that's when people really start to consider trades and then who knows.

That is a major reason why there are so many rumors about teams trading up, trading down, trading players, etc.

In Buffalo, for example, CJ Spiller may be available for a 1st if you believe what some people are hearing/saying.  The Bills want to trade up for a QB or down for anyone else.  If I was Carolina I'd surrender a 1st for Spiller, especially this year.

St Louis wants to trade down but needs a QB desperately and they won't be able to get one.

this happens every year, I've been closely following offseasons especailly drafts for the better part of the last 11 years, so I'm used to all the supposed rumors and blah blah that goes around.

I stated earlier on this forum when the offseason actually started that Nothing actually happens till it happens, and rumors are just that.

some people that dont know better might go "oh I hear this or that! what if this happens!!" I really dont care about any of it till it actually happens.  it's not about being first, it's about being right and I'm right a lot.

Judging by how DG has signed 3 WRs and a TE I am pretty sure we go OL unless a star WR falls to us. You setup how you draft by what you do in free agency and so far we signed 0 OL and 3 WRs.

Well we had like 8 or 9 OL on the roster with more than 2 minutes of game time. We had 0 WRs. The average age of our OL is probably about 26. The average age of our WR corps now is 30 or 31. We still need WRs.

BPA! Simple as that as don't lock in on one position even one where we don't need a player at, The Giants were known for drafting players in positions which were already strong and I see that as Gettlemans philosophy!

so, what changed with them? they sucked last year. did they fall apart in previos strong positions or did they fall apart in the positions that were never fully addressed?
