NFL Draft is a month out and I still have no Idea who we're looking at?

Ok, so where do you guys think we go in the draft this year? This is the first time I've not had any clue since we drafted Everrett Brown(not a good draft either).  Last year we knew there was 3-4 people we were looking at and everyone and their Grandma knew we would pick Star if he landed in our lap which he did.

So where do you think we will go this year WR? OL? or another suprise possition Pick? and who do you feel will be this years "Star".

I honestly feel we need to go WR, but as far as who I dont have a clue.

1. Cooks

2. Kouandjio

3. Fuller

In that order if available.  And while a legit argument could be made that none will be available, IMHO at least one will be, and I think it will be Cyrus, who has the highest upside of all.

There is a pretty extensive list in the Draft section of the board that lists all players we have met with and worked-out thus far. It paints a pretty good picture on what positions and players we have been targeting. Worth a look for sure.

Thanks for the heads up, according to that list though Ebron is the only player we've taken a second look at so far, I would be happy with him.  I've said earlier I wouldnt mind a 2 TE set because of the mis-match it would create.

BPA! Simple as that as don't lock in on one position even one where we don't need a player at, The Giants were known for drafting players in positions which were already strong and I see that as Gettlemans philosophy!

They will probably go BPA based on possition of need, you dont draft another star QB just because he's the best player on the Board.

I actually have no idea. I think that this year there is a lot of homework being done because the draft is so deep. In previous years, there was a sure fire, "yeah-we-would-take-that-player" scenario, but now? Who knows. There's about eight prospects I'd be fine if we got.

As stated in another thread, my "Star" players for this draft are Marquise Lee and Taylor Lewan.  They're the guys I would LOVE to fall to us (and it's not outside the realm of possibility for it to happen).  More realistic options I hope we're looking hard at, in order:  OBJ, Benjamin, Jordan Matthews, Cooks.  I'm not sold on Zach Martin but most say the value would be there at #28.  I just don't see him as an NFL LT.  I could easily be wrong, but he'd be the only OL that could likely be available for us that I wouldn't scoff at with Greg Robinson, Jake Matthews and Taylor Lewan likely gone.

    • Respectfully, I completely disagree. Last year we were:  32nd in Sacks. 32nd in Turnovers.  32nd in Rushing TDs allowed  29th in Scoring.  We were absolutely atrocious on defense last year and that was with a full stable of weapons in Derek Brown, Frankie Luvu and Brian Burns that played all 17 games.  Using yards per game as a metric to guage our success lacks the context that because our offense was so inept teams were not driving the length of the field, they were starting at their 40-50 yard line.  This year, our Defense ranks:  31st in Sacks. Tied for 19th in Turnovers  31st in Rushing TDs allowed 32nd in Scoring  His defense fails to get pressure, fails to turn the ball over and fails to stop the run. Three things you absolutely have to do to be successful in the NFL.  Denver meanwhile has not missed a beat without him.  If another team wants to hire him as a HC and the Panthers get two 3rds for it I'll wish him the best and pack his bags myself.
