D-Will in shock over loss of receiving corp

It has finally dawned on me that some of you are so affected by the cutting of Steve Smith that it doesn't matter what Gettleman does, you hate him and will always distort reality to fit your narrative that everything in your world that is wrong is Dave Gettleman's fault.

my father taught me to never debate with intellectual fools.

but this is just too much fun

gettleman's built in excuse?

do you think he is trying to sabotage this team or something? sabotage Cam?

If he doesn't draft a WR, and we go into the season with Cotchery as our best wr then yes. I'm not talking about some bum for the fourth round either. You said his plan was to get Cam weapons this offseason right? Well I need to see it, haven't yet. He has to nail this draft, thats the bed he's made.

This is America, and given all the drama that he's had to deal with since Rivera's arrival, I don't blame him one bit. He's frustrated. What was so bad about his comments? Were you not shocked? Do you not think the pressure is on the front office to find talent for Cam?

I'm not arguing the merits of American freedom of speech with you. He is entitled to his opinion.

You said he got paid so he can say whatever he wants.

My question to you was do you feel he can say whatever he wants because he got paid and he no longer cares what anyone thinks?

ohhhhhh ok. so all this bitching and whining is for naught.

and you made the choice to believe he wouldn't draft Cam weapons based on one draft where we took KK instead of Allen and Star instead of Hopkins.

gotcha

Gettleman wants to win, and it's hard to win when your 1-2 RB tandem, who barely crack the 1000 rushing yards mark combined, occupy 20% of the salary cap allocated to the entire offense.

Dwill had almost 900 yards himself and he missed a game, stop grouping them together. Ya'll really hate Stewart and are just blaming Dwill.

I never said he wouldn't, he has time. But he didn't last year and you guys keep screaming how the group we have now is already better.

yes you did. You said you wouldn't be surprised if he didn't based on 1 fuging draft he has had with the panthers.

you made the choice to believe that. and i'm not screaming this group is better. I think its a push. lots of question marks last year that you were bitching about came through, lots of question marks this year. The point is to keep drafting and get weapons for Cams because

1. they're cheap and

2. we can get talented players

i think if DG thinks we are set at WR then he is a dumb dumb. he is not a dumb dumb.

Therein lies the point everyone is trying to make AceBoogie.

He almost had 900 yards, and he's being paid like he should have had over 1,200 as a workhorse back.

Smitty almost had 800 yards and was being paid like he should have had 1,200 or more.

I don't blame either man for getting his money. That's fine and I respect it. But then when you aren't worth a poo anymore don't be mad when you get cut.

Williams contract is a microcosm of this teams problems, which is why he should keep his fuging mouth shut, but you have no problem with what he said because it's honest? So if Tolbert came out and said Williams is old and shitty, and Stewart can't get off a bike, and I'm contributing way more than either of those two bums and yet I'm the one making peanuts would you have no problem with that because it's 100% fact?

So to fix our bad receiving corps, we make it worse? Fantastic strategy! Maybe we should fix our offensive line by making it worse too!

How is getting rid of a unit that we know to be horrible,  and going with unknown WRs,  that haven't played together yet............  "making it worse"?           Sometimes the unknown is a better risk than going with the known,  especially if the known,  as a whole,  is horrible.    We haven't even drafted anyone yet.

Has the season already happened and our current group and the guys we drafted,  "proved" to be worse than what we fielded last season?
