D-Will in shock over loss of receiving corp

Williams is trying to get cut.  He thinks we would have to pay him guaranteed money and another team will give him $2-3 million.  He thinks if Smitty can be outspoken and get 2 checks, he can too.

Pretty wild speculation there.

Dwill tool another shot at Cotchery, Avant, McNutt, King, and Olsen saying "we have no receivers." That dude is a moron and I wish we could cut his sorry ass.

No, here is what he said.

"I don't have any concerns so to speak," he said about the offense in the regular season. "I just don't want to see eight, nine guys in the box week in and week out because we're working on our timing."

In that final phrase lies the crux of Williams' concern about the Panthers' passing attack.

His point is not that these guys don't have talent. His point is that these guys don't get to work with Cam until Training camp which is a short amount of time to get the timing together. That could be very bad for both the receiving and running game.

He is absolutely right.

With the contract he has, and the money crunch we are in, it's real easy to demonize D'Lo... It doesn't help that folks without good reading comprehension spout off about these media stories. He ain't the RB he used to be, but I think he's always worked hard and has been a good teammate.

Seems like he's being a "good teammate" to players that are on OTHER teams rather than the players on HIS team at this point.

That's being a "good teammate"?
