Also interesting how the years you chose don't include his best year in 2008 when he had 12 touchdowns, but rather the year after and the year he was hurt and played less than half a season. Your simple lack of knowledge and under 200 posts makes me not believe at all you were a Panther fan before this past season.

Been a fan since I moved here in 99 actually. Became a die hard fan after the Super Bowl run. Yes I got the years wrong, sorry. That clearly makes me a bandwagon fan. Also yeah anyone that hasn't been on this forum for 10 years just became a fan last year. Makes sense. I can tell you about most panthers players. From Chris Winkie to Jeff king to Rae curruth to cam newton.

Ok go. Tell me about Chris wreinke and jeff king. Rae carruth isn't worth my time.

As many of you have said, D'Will is apart of the problem with his enormous salary. That said, many of the same ones that said this also said the same thing he did about cutting all our talent from last year.

I would have liked to have kept Smitty and Ginn but letting both of them walk isn't like we were letting a top notched WR go in his prime and a player we signed on a one year deal.

My honest opinion.  I think the changes are going to be very good.  I think a lot of young guys are going to step up and this offense is going to thrive.  Gettleman has an eye for talent.  These guys we brought in will contribute.   They'll battle it out and Cam will make them better.

Don't know what everyone is mad at. Everything he says is true. What did he say that didn't happen? We have too many front office fans on here. Weird fan base.

You must be a little slow so I'll explain it to you......... We have a cap problem......Hurney overpaid several contracts and because we overpaid on contracts to CJ, Smith, Stewart, Beason, and DEANGELO WILLIAMS......We now have to bargain shop for receivers and couldn't resign players like Ginn, Lafell, and Hixon forcing us to start with a new receiving corps. D-Will goes on tv and is total shock that we have to start over and bargain shop at receiver. His contract pays him like a superstar but he's been more average than anything the past couple of years. His lousy contract and the cap room he eats up is one of the reasons we can't invest in resigning the receivers we had last year or go after big name receivers in FA. Do you see the irony?

When you earn more than your worth, it's better to keep your mouth shut and focus on earning your money instead of going on TV and saying all the pressure is on the the front office to fix the problem.......Especially when "fixing the problem" could include cutting your ass after the season.

Oh If that were only so. It was personal with Smitty and i don't like it.

I don't like it either but if we kept him this year, we'd be tied to that bad contract for two more years. Gettleman made the right decision for our future cap health. I wish he had been more diplomatic about it but he did what needed to be done.
