I never liked DeAngelo. Just something about him. I don't believe these were great comments to make. He is trying to say that if the offense takes a step back it's the fault of the front office, not the other offensive players on the field.

These comments always show up when player start to decline. I don't believe you at all. I'm sure you loved him in '09 and 10. And he is a good guy donating to charities and all that. No character problems with him.

Are any of you youngsters in college majoring in psychology?

It would make for an interesting paper if you could study sports franchise fanbases to learn about their shattered psyche.

Some of you are like battered wives that refuse to see what's plainly in front of them.

We went 12-4 this year mainly on the backs of the new blood players we brought in, not the old guard that have just been collecting checks without the results. And yet here you are, vehemently defending so many of them. It really is an interesting look into the mind of a people who have been shat on for so long that they start to say please and thank you when shat on them again.

I took a class last semester, that count?

you are a homer fan if you like him and defend him. you are a realistic football mind if you never liked him and don't defend him.

Good enough for me. Take another one and look into this. I'm genuinely interested in the psychology of battered sports fanbases. I'm not even being a smartass.

I would have to look into that next spring. My classes are pretty much set for Summer and Fall.

Also interesting how the years you chose don't include his best year in 2008 when he had 12 touchdowns, but rather the year after and the year he was hurt and played less than half a season. Your simple lack of knowledge and under 200 posts makes me not believe at all you were a Panther fan before this past season.

AceBoogie, do you see your own hypocrisy in preaching "numbers never lie" and then when they may not quite support your argument the way you want them to, flip-flop and preach about things like "scheme" and playing against lesser competition? Which is it?

Greg Hardy - 15 sacks. Numbers never lie? Or are his stats inflated because he played against weak competition? Try to be consistent.

Hey, thanks for your input. Preciate it. Clearly my comments were based off what he wrote to me and were more tongue in cheek and I don't really care when he became a Panthers fan. But like I said I appreciate your advice and will keep it in the back of my head the next time I get in an argument. Please feel free to critique any other one of my posts you find necessary. Your wisdom is hard to come by
