Ed Dickson visiting the Panthers

Was Hartsock really to expensive to keep?  He was a great blocker...seems like we'd want to keep him...

Hartsock has literally done next to nothing his entire career. Great guy, but all he can do is block, and he's about to turn 34.

1. Who's Ed Dickson?

2. Did he actually play and do anything for ravens?

3. They had Pitta so I take it that's why they didnt use him much? Which I find strange as there offense sucked last year after bolden left.

4. Is he a blocking tight end or a duel threat blocker and good receiver?

Yea he was a specialist, but having a specialist blocking TE isn't unheard of in the NFL and he was a good one. Our blocking dropped off tremendously when he was injured.

He is obviously older so getting some youth in there is clearly the plan but he was a good contributor.

Hartsock was one of if not the best blocking TE in the league last year. McNeil isn't even really a blocking TE either.

I remember the name but can't remember if he's good. He's older isn't he?

was 3rd TE drafted in 2010 behind Gresham and Gronk but ahead of Jimmy Graham. He was #2 on Oregon in receiving yards in 2007, 2008 and 2009 (when Oregon went 9-4, 10-3, 10-3 finishing ranked #23, #9, #11)

in the Ravens Super Bowl victory, he was #3 on the team in receiving yds for the game behind Boldin and Jones

the only time he played the Seahawks (@SEA in 2011), he had 10 catches for 79 yds, 2 TD

Isn't he still an FA? He's basically useless as a receiver, that combined with his age, well you can figure it out.
