Ed Dickson visiting the Panthers

If he signs here, he is #2. That automatically ups the stakes for who gets that 3rd one. Gon' be fun. As well as giving us a young, talented, TE to groom as Olsen's replacement down the line. Two for one kinda deal. Upping his value, in a business type decision. All that together. Doesn't make sense not to sign him.

IF he is coming here to sign. YEEAAAAA. If he is coming here to visit? yea. At least we are in the running And we have Cam as bait.

Dickson only dropped five of the 43 passes thrown his way last year. Here is how he did at the combine compared to LaFell:

LaFell - 4.58 forty at 6-3/211

Dickson - 4.59 forty at 6-4/249

I would be thrilled to get him as our #2 TE. I think Cam would be too

Its just that in the 5 or 6 games I watched of the Ravens last season, he reminded me of Lafell and showed me how truly valuable Dennis Pitta really is and probably one of the main reasons they didn't make the playoffs..

i like having players on the roster who can contribute and since I'm a fan and this isn't coming out of my paycheck, don't feel the need to make some meaningless seemingly obligatory comment about a hypothetical contract

Not the PFF is the be all end all, but Dickson has a miserable -16.1 rating according to their system. Ouch.

It comes from his horrible run blocking grade.

They can sign him for next to nothing in guaranteed salary, pit him against a possible later round draft pick and/or Brandon Williams for competition and cut him with little to no cap affect if he doesn't pan out.
