I have zero problems going DE in the first, especially with how deep this years WR class is. We can easily get a second round receiver with first round talent. Not sure how deep the class is at DE though.

 

Agreed.  Take a few in the middle rounds to go with a second rounder and we could end up looking very good.

No. However Green Bay had a great QB at the time but they knew Favre would be gone sooner rather then later. Similar to us with our DL.

Also, I'm not saying I want us to draft a DE, but I wouldn't be upset if we did. I want the BPA. Now obviously if a QB was considered the BPA we would not take him. That's a stupid thing to counter the BPA philosophy with.

Plus, it's obvious we wouldn't take a RB because no running back could possibly be considered BPA at 28 this year. If a DT was the BPA (Aaron Donald) it would be hard to pass on that talent, but we would considering we just spent two top picks on that position last year.

A MLB? If CJ Mosely fell to 28 we'd be stupid to pass on him, IMO.

I'm not so sure about the DE thing so right now losing 1 of them is speculation. It might happen or Cj might redo his deal. We don't know yet.

BPA at a position of need, which includes upcoming needs based on existing player contracts... you can't do this year by year.

We had a older vet at C when we drafted Kali plus 2 2nd round picks.

We had 2 injury prone Lb. Luke

We were horrible at DT. Short
