"Scootch over, first round WRs"---Allen Robinson needs room

just read a mock that came out today that had us taking Robinson at 28 (#5 WR taken behind Watkins, Evans, Lee, Beckham). Said: "He doesn't get a lot of praise in comparison to some of his peers, but he has sure hands, runs crisp routes and fights for every ball like it's the last reception of his career. Newton needs a rock to rely on in the passing game. Robinson is that and could very well be the No. 1 wideout in Carolina next season."

gone before our pick were:

OL Robinson, Matthews, Lewan, Martin, Kouandjio

CB Dennard, Gilbert, Fuller

S Clinton-Dix, Pryor

There's like 10 guys that have been listed as possible first round receivers: Watkins, Evans, Lee, OBJ, Cooks, Matthews, Robinson, Benjamin, Latimer, Landry, and maybe I'm forgetting some.

Your typical draft has 3-4 first round receivers, so not only will some of these guys be available at 28, a few will likely still be there at 60.

The most first round receivers taken recently was 2009 with six, the year the Giants took Nicks late in the first and then Barden in the third. Wouldn't mind if Gettleman is considering a similar strategy this year.

Probably, though he could opt to take as many as three and he may opt to take the first in round two.  If they can solve an OL issue in round one, it'd make plenty of sense to go that way.

I like this kid Bruce Ellington (Andre's cousin) a lot if he gets to the fifth, he'd be a potential steal and he can play inside and outside.
