where can i watch this segment on avant?i wana hear what he has to say. at least a summary for pie

The whole "Jason Avant Song" started last season I believe.  It's such a weird, terribly-funny song. So Rome started the gag like "Yea, Avant DOES have great hands, and he IS a wonderful person!"

 

And basically anytime Avant would have a catch or score a touchdown last year, Rome would bring it up on Monday and have that song playing on repeat in the background.  Fans of the show, "clones", loved it.  Hence the "Jason Avant Song" thread is born.

 

 

So today, Rome spent the first 1.5 hour of his show talking about the NCAA championship game, then he finally brought up the Panthers and Avant.

 

He started by recapping all of the puzzling moves the Panthers have made, releasing Smith and letting the other WR's go. He said, "Why have a Ferrari like Cam Newton if you don't give him any weapons?  They have to have a plan, right?"

 

"Well it turns out they had a master plan all along.  To sign JASON AVANT."  And then the song plays over and over as Rome talks about how the Panthers are guaranteed to win the Super Bowl now that they have Avant, who is better than Jerry Rice.

Im a little confused. it seems like he really likes Avant, but kinda sounds like he's mocking us with the superbowl/ jerry rice comment

Nah he's not mocking us. It's really about the song and how it makes Avant out to be so awesome. The randomness of it all.

It'll be a continuing thing into next season. It's just a fun gag.

So today you like Rome?  Ok, cool.  Let me know if we're fans tomorrow.  It's fun being excited about a new player on the team but you hafta have some gravity here, folks.  He ain't all that.

 

He's better than any WR the Bills have.

Avant and Cotchery are 2 solid receivers to have on any roster.  

 

Add in a rookie or two and whoever beats each other out for the remaining WR spots and we'll definitely be a productive passing team.
