Agree/disagree: LaFell is better than Cotchery, Underwood, and Avant

Lafell sucks plain and simple, i was hoping everything changed after he had a good TC and it being a contract year but nope he sucks get it through your head people. Every-time he was targeted by Cam the ball would go off his hands for a INT, mix that with the wide open drop passes and you got yourself a surefire dud...............but for a bonus i'll throw in the fact that he also would half ass routes that cause INT as well.

crowning the guys we sign this year just because what they did last year is a mistake also, besides lafell it's yet to be determine whether this group can live up to our receiving core last year.

I love your insight on the WRs...

Steve Smith dropped 7 catchable passes...

"You guiyz he's Steve Smiff!!! Don't count him out, he be back!!! Gettleman is a doofus!!!"

Brandon LaFell dropped 6 catchable passes...

"Hurt durr he freaking blows!!! Dude dropped everything & caused Cam's INTs!!! Glad he's gone!!!"

i love yours.........

steve smith 4th down clutch catch vs miami to keep the game alive, steve smith clutch 3rd down catches vs 49ers to get us in field goal range to win the game, steve smith shows up for divisional playoff game

Lafell drops big 4th down play pass, lafell drops another big catch vs saints, lafell doesn't show up or step up when the #1 wr goes down, matter of fact lafell doesn't show up unless cam force feeds him the ball, lafell running half ass routes causing turnovers in a pivotal game deciding the nfc south and playoff postion........

don't play this game with me you'll lose.......

I think Cotchery is the best of the group, after that you can make an argument for any of them. Avant is more sure-handed, though not as fast and not a red zone target.

LaFell and Underwood is a difficult comparison due to their styles of play. Objectively LaFell has been better thus far, though I prefer Underwood's skill set and he's actually a bit younger.

Really I think our WR corps has improved sans Smith.

Cotchery > LaFell (though LaFell is younger with more room to grow)

Underwood < Ginn (mainly due to return ability, though Underwood arguably looks like the better receiver)

Avant > Hixon (pretty self explanatory)

Not to mention if Underwood doesn't drop wide open deep balls he'll be better for us than Ginn. Ginn picked up some yardage too on returns but I don't believe he took a single one to the house during the season.

Really?  We're having this discussion?

LaFell wasn't terrible, but he was average.  For the price of Lafell we have Avant and Cotchery, and we replaced Ginn effectively with Underwood (minus the ST - Hey Barner!).  It's what had to be done.

LaFail?  Do people still have that conversation?  Let's just be honest, if the Panthers had resigned him, all heck would have broken loose in a negative fashion.  Imagine the sky is falling crowd, but MUCH worse.  I like adding the Vets who know how to play and last in the NFL.  We're going to bring in some new guys, and they are going to need some additional leadership, which LaFell couldn't have offered in a way the vets can.

Thing you have to remember about Lafell is he had very similar production from 2011 to 2013 and his hands were great for the first two of those years with only 4 drops total. 2010 and 2013 were worse. His drop rate is pretty much identical to Smith's over the last four years.

Cotchery also managed 8 drops in 2010 which was among the worst rates in the league.

Not sure why anyone thinks this is a huge upgrade or downgrade besides the contract size
