I think we should give him the benefit of the doubt, as he works with the Charlotte Observer. Could be easy to get them mixed up every now and then when you see both names all day long.

That's valid, I'm just saying it's more than likely a non-sports-savvy desk person just threw something on there. Observer writers don't come up with their own headlines. They might for blog posts, but that would be it.
