Where We Stand: Receiving *UPDATED* 4/10

You know Day 1 is only the first round, right?

No...........

Marcus Colston was a day 1 starter and he was a 7th round pick.

Keenan Allen started day 1 and he was a 2nd or 3rd round pick.

It depends on the team situation the rookie is on not where they were drafted.

You honestly think 12 receivers will even be drafted in the first round of the draft?

You're the one who needs to be thinking here.

Again let me point this out to you.

No the bet isn't Wr's drafted in the 1st round. It's 12 Wr being day 1 starters from this draft.

So ignorant is thinking day 1 starters only come from the 1st round.

I'm not betting how many Wr's will be drafted in the 1st round. I'm betting how many WR's (from this draft) will start game 1 of the regular season. UDFA included.

Do you understand??

Have either of you listed all the guys who have started day 1 NOT selected in the first round? Why not do that first?

Take that number and now divide by the total number of receivers selected in all those drafts through the first 4 rounds. Then you have a rough probability of how often it happens.

And before you take this bet Claw. A little info for you.

There were 9 to 10 rookie WR's who started last year (from a weak WR class) day 1 of the regular season. And Any WR who made the top 3 WR spots is considered a starter.

Hopkins

Allen

Hunter

Patterson

Dabson

Austin

Kembrell Topkins

Robert woods

Marlon Brown

Terrance Williams

All these guys I'm sure started on there teams day 1 of the regular season. Again in a weak WR draft not like this year. Which is the best and deepest in decades.

Kenny Stills (not sure if he started day 1 thoe)

Bailey (not sure if he started day 1)

Are you sure you want to take this bet?

I did for last season.

Only Austin and Patterson were 1st round picks. Tompkins and Brown were un drafted rookies and the rest were drafted in the 2nd thru 5th rounds I think.

And to express this point again. This was a weak WR'S class last year. Imo it wouldn't be smart for Claw to take this bet. Specifically this year with this WR'S draft class.

Imho.

I've not seen a class of Wr's this deep in decades.

Jmo.

Agreed. I can't remember when 7 potential players from one position could go in the 1st round....not just WR, but any position! That's almost 25% of the first round at wideout. Value wise, I don't see OT being good at 28. Turner/Bintonio in the 2nd makes more sense and select whichever WR is at 28. I'm intrigued with Penn States pro day today.....If Robinson blows away his 40 and looks the way Latimer did at his pro day, I could see Robinson creeping back into the conversation with our 1st round pick.

I love Robinson. The fact his numbers didn't drop while playing for different QB'S on a team that was dealing with NCAA sanctions. Lets me know he's going to be a player in this league. If he kills at his pro day (speed wise) he will confirm what he shows on tape and rise up the boards again.
