Wait until after the draft. It's more than likely one of these guys get cut like Drayton Florence did last year.

Those saying "ohh no another #3/#4 WR signing. This is terrible" are dumbasses. You want to go into the season with Pilares, McNutt, and King as the 3 and 4? No? Then STFU. Our only choice is to make the team we have right now better and we just did with this signing.

You must not have ever seen Avant play.. You can't tell how good a player is by pure stats. He was the #3 in Philly for most of the time except last year and he is a great veteran presence, great blocker, and has some of the best hands in the league. If he had elite speed, he'd be a top 10-20 WR throughout the league.

14 GP, 53 receptions, 648 yards, 0 dropped passes

Really? Jason Avant? Yes, really.

Just check the numbers.

During the 2012 NFL regular season, with nothing short of turmoil at the quarterback position for the Philadelphia Eagles, Avant was the most reliable receiver in football. He may not be piling up 100-yard games or catching 10 touchdowns, but he did something else.

Avant finished with 53 receptions and 684 yards with zero dropped passes.

In fact, the only true gaffe of the season for Avant was a fumble that the Eagles recovered. With an average of 12.2 yards per reception and 32 of his 53 receptions going for first down, there's only one word to describe Avant.

Reliable.

Avant won't have an overall rating above 90, and it's unlikely that he even hits 80 on the scale. What he will have, however, is an extraordinarily high rating for his hands, both on intermediate and deep routes.

Hauling in every catchable pass thrown his way should make Avant the most reliable receiver in Madden 25.
