2014 NFL Draft: Why Offensive Linemen Are Valued Highly

True, but any player has risk at 28. Cross fingers that Cyrus gives top 5 overall value, which is possible but far from a sure thing.

I can see why you say that, but G-man's approach really minimizes or takes risk out of the equation.  I believe him when he says he knows how to pick talent, and a first round pick by G-man is going to be a safe and solid, if not spectacular pick.

ive had so similar talks with great football minds, a few where GREAT believers in OL(above all others groups even QB). they said OL controls the game. a great QB/WR/RB/TE isnt great with a poor OL. all that siad, they still didnt change my opinion on OG.

similar to basketball, the group must act as one.....sorta like 5 fingers make a fist. if you only have 3 fingers closed and punch...youre going to have a bad time. you can have 1 great, 2 ok and 2 duds, but combine they make a great 5.

One thing that was pointed out that eased my worries a bit was how great physical attributes transition to the NFL, and the mental aspect can usually be acquired later on through coaching.  Makes me feel much better about how Amini and Kugbila might turn out for us because they are both great athletes.
