Why we may not need a "No.1", and can draft impact WRs later in this deep class

Why is it so hard for people to understand that.

Because it's not true. Most of the people on that list are for all intents and purposes the number 1 guy, or at least were the number 1 guy in 2013.  Look at the list, and tell me more than 5-6 guys including Jeffery and Marshall who were the number 2 receivers on their team last season.  As a matter of fact, I'll do it for you.  And, like I said before, even though some of the guys didn't start out as the traditional WR1, they became the effective WR1 for most of the year after injuries.

Josh Gordon:          WR1

Antonio Brown:       WR1

Alshon Jeffery:        WR2

Pierre Garcon:        WR1

Desean Jackson:    WR1

Jordy Nelson:          WR1

Brandon Marshall:   WR1

Eric Decker;           WR2

Vincent Jackson:    WR1

Anquan Boldin:       WR1

Torrey Smith:         WR1

T.Y. Hilton:             WR1

Harry Douglas:       WR2

Julian Edelman:      WR1
Keenan Allen:         WR1
Brian Hartline:         WR2

Now if you're saying that most were "pleasant surprises", then I'll give you that (even though even that's debatable).  But, like I have said before, A WR2 worth his salt is supposed to be able to produce with a team's "top dog" on the field.

I'm not going to read ALLL THAT just to hear why we MAYYBE may not when we deff do. If it were shorter I'd read it, but for now I'll just stick to the far more obvious reasons.

A great powerful target for Cam to rely on in future years.

Is it that you are too lazy to read it? Or that the OP used too many big words for you to understand it?

Inquiring minds want to know

I agree.... Big boss looks foolish commenting on a post he was to lazy to even read in its entirety. Of course, his comment was just regurgitated drivel. "Cam needs a target"..... Like we didn't know that already. Sheesh.

lol what is there to discuss?

We may not a no.1 receiver? Our best pass catcher is some scrub from the steelers.

Bradshaw had Lynn Swayn, Montanna had Jerry rice, Troy had Mike Irvin, Tom had Deion Branch.

The above four have something in common. And it isn't just number 1 receivers. Lol overthinking somethings.

A bunch of JAGs then. The point remains. The fact that we're trying to convince ourselves that we don't need to provide our young QB with WR talent is absurd.

I agree.

Not one person here is going to convince me that signing all these older jags is better then actually getting young talent to grow with Cam.

I understand signing 2 guys to help the young guys along. But if Gettelmen plan isn't to take advantage of this draft. Gifted with the deepest crop of WR in years. Then this whole off-season is in question.
