I would guess that they bought Williams in for a reason, and if Johnson is cut, I would think that we have a good a shot as anybody.

 

 

I just don't see who they are going to propose to leave on the sidelines if they don't make a move with Johnson.

No way.. I live in Western NY and get to watch the Bills every weekend. Johnson drops so any catchable balls. Bills fans complain about him each week

There will be many more cuts. Plenty of time before the season starts. There will be a dwan Edwards like signing again this year, as in he was cut for 53 man roster.

Also signing cut players doesn't count toward the comp picks

haha everyone thinks Gman is gonna draft a WR in the first few rounds. he might... but it wouldnt surprise me if he waits until the 7th round to draft a WR. L'Damian Washington, Shaq Evans or someone like that.

There is absolutely no reason to cut him.  Yes, he had a rough year.  You can blame injuries but he's always had hamstring/groin problems.  You also need to look at who his QB's were last year.  3 different QB's with no real experience?  Thad Lewis, EJ Manuel, Jeff Tuel, and then Kolb who never made it past preseason.

 

To cut SJ13 now would be horrible and stupid.  He won't save enough money to matter when we are spending a bunch to resign him.  And Mike Williams is not set to make crap this year.  He can be cut and only count for something like $2.5mm for 2015 before his bonus is due at the end of 2014.  With SJ13, Robert Woods, SJ13, TJ Graham, Marquise Goodwin and some others you don't know of - more then likely - yeah... a lot to shake up.  Look for our dumpster leavins' come camp.

Then costs you $6+mm to sign his replacement - and that is not likely Mike Williams.  Combine that with the cap hit dead money...  Is cutting SJ13 to get slightly better stats going to do us much of anything worth close to the $15mm it could likely cost?
