Hicks as a rookie, on one of the worst defenses in NFL history (Saints D 2012) couldn't get on the field and only played in limited snaps…

 

Is better than,

 

Star Lotulelei who came in, started, and anchored one of the best defenses and front sevens in the league as a rookie.

 

Makes sense.

Trying to compare Star against some no name DT nobody has heard of based on actual tackles and sacks is hilarious.

 

The Panthers lead the league in sacks. The league. In sacks. You think that doesn't have a little bit to do with Star's influence?

yeah i know i read the articles about how the saints base defense is a 4-2-5 and the endless circle jerk about how it's "technically not a 3-4" and all that.  hicks plays three and four tech whereas star is a 0 or 1 tech.  it's not the same position, quit being stupid about this.
