He had a really bad 2012 season and didn't play last year. He might be worth taking a chance on though for the right price

Great player with a great career but I think he is just too old. He was an absolute force on that Cardinal team thay went to the Super Bowl several years ago though. He took over games in the postseason that year.

he's pretty old and coming off an injury. i don't think he has much left in the tank. a few years ago i would jizz at the opportunity to sign this guy, he was one of the beastliest players in the league.

Taints had 1.7M in space BEFORE* they signed Champ, so I don't know what they expect to sign their draft picks with.  Maybe they will trade away all of their picks this year for the 2015 draft.

If you're looking for safety, look at Buffalo.  Searcy might be odd man out and an option.  The Pats not playing this guy is alarmingly alarming.  Pats players seldom succeed post Patriot career with another team.  That this guy couldn't cut it there tells you all you need to know.

Im not advocating signing him but the reason the Pats did not play him is that he injured his achilles and was put on IR before the season started.
