People need to shut their mouths and let Gettleman do his job. He is not retarded he knows we need "touchdown scorers" he has said it from the beginning. We didn't have the money to make huge free agent splashes. I am thankful for him being able to get Cotchrey who will be a great leader to all the young receivers. We are without a doubt going to get 1, 2, or maybe 3 WRs in the draft. We will be okay.

Nobody is talking splashes... I think you guys are getting confused. Ok we payed Steve to leave, didn't sign Nicks who was extremely affordable, and didn't retain any other WR for the sake of helping the new guys learn the offense. Those moves had nothing to do with money, and had everything to do with Gettleman.

The wait it out approach has worked so far... no reason to steer away from the plan now.

Guys like Sidney Rice and Miles Austin are still out there, and once they realize that their value isn't as high as perceived DG is probably going to come in and scoop one up.

I'm also under the impression that the Panthers may do the double-double dip with they way they are attacking the secondary in free agency. WR in the first and fourth rounds and OT in the 2nd and 3rd rounds.

The only way I'll legitimately be worried going into this year is if we don't go WR in round one.

Farther than the superbowl? I get what you are saying, but it's not a zero sum game in the salary cap era. More WRs might have depleted the defense that got them there.

Being from Syracuse, I have always liked McNabb. Hell he was the only legit qb we've had in decades and an all around nice guy....having said that, he is a moron. Always has been, always will be. Especially after retiring. All he does is want headlines and to create controversy.

But is that not putting Gettleman against his on philosophy? Plug holes im FA so you can draft BPA? Now every other team knows how bad we need WRs.

Free agency doesn't end until the end of the season. Did it occur to you that Gettleman might not mean that you plug all of your holes in the first couple of weeks of FA? We'll get through the draft, see who we can pick up and then it's back to looking at the market again. Picking up roster cuts right before the season is a good place to start. Guys who have put in the off-season training and get released are motivated to play and need to be on a team to do that. It's easier to work favorable deals with those guys.

I've said it once and I will say it again for all you naysayers. TK,MM,JC,Hair will be more productive than SS,BL,Ginn,Hixon. If we draft a WR that could change but if we stand pat with what we have, Those guys will be more productive. I'm for drafting a WR only if WR is the best player available.

Agreed im tired of watching our coaches try and turn cam into a damn game manager and thats exactly whats going to happen if he has a bunch of scrubs and rookies to throw too. No way a qb like cam should barely reach the 3000 yard passing mark but hey these guys are professionals they must know what they're doing right????

McNabb knows what he's talking about. It won't be until we go 6-10 next season that he fans see it as well.
