these types of remarks make no sense

Smitty was the leader in the Panthers locker room. He was the most talked about, interviewed, known, jersey sold, and fantasy-picked.

He was outspoken and a bit brazen. He did not mince words and he did not pull any punches (literally).

No one was going to take that spot from him....ever. That's not a knock, that is reality and a huge part of what makes him as successful as he was/is.

He grew up here and we all played a huge role in creating that.

In a new place he will be humble and focused on earning respect from new fans as he he earned it here from all of us.

He will not walk in and immediately ascend to what he was here in Charlotte.

All the snarky comments about him hindering others are not even cute anymore. They just make you look like a person who cannot process the probability for an alternate result despite understanding significant changes in the contributing factors (aka "stupid").

What are we gonna exchange insults on a forum now? The minute you typed "dimwit" you became so convincing. Completely persuaded me. How do you do it? What's your secret? lol

Lol. They tend to do that a lot in this forum. Some spend so much time in front of their computer that they start to believe it's animated.

Let me guess, you heard an analyst say it's one of the the deepest draft, right? What you failed to understand is that what could be a deep draft for ono team may not be for another. By the time we're picking at 28 probably all the franchise LT and WRs will probably be gone and those are our needs. So, how is that draft deep for us. There are only 2 franchise WRs in the draft that are almost guaranteed to pan out(like Julio Jones and AJ Green). Same for LT. The rest are just hit or miss. Now tell me how is that a deep draft for us?

it is a little tighter on OT's but the WR pool is deep.

So Ozzie let some older players walk so he could get enough $$$ to sign his "franchise" QB, then a year later is trying to bring in some talent to take his O somewhere?

Humm, and he didn't have 4-5 absurd contracts from a previous inept GM to deal with as well......

That new chip we put on his shoulder.... you know the one that made Steve Smith who he is now.  That chip is fresh and it will keep him motivated another year or two.   I cringe at the day we play him.  He is going to show us we shouldn't have cut him.

Many will say it doesn't matter because he has lost a step.  S. Smith is going to prove us wrong.  Watch and see.

That said.  He will not be a cancer in Baltimore.  He will bring an attitude and who knows might even teach J. Jones how to be tough receiver and change his career.   He won't be a distraction in the locker room.    The Ravens are the team I want from the AFC to go to the Super Bowl.  S. Smith gets his ring and gets that final piece to a HOF career and the Panthers can have their first true HOFer.  (I know Reggie White played for us but he went in as a Packer)
